Are BDS Graduates Really Unemployed?

I was doing my part of the research and all I can find are bad reviews about BDS. People say it’s only good if you already belong to a family of doctors otherwise you get nothing out of it. I mean it does interests me as well. So why are there so many bad reviews? What is the actual reality?

I dont know anything in oral pathology. Not even the basics.

I have been procrastinating so much and now its almost the end of the year and I dont even know the basic stuffs. I had a viva with an examiner today and he said I could never be a doctor like this. he was so angry at me which is valid since i was so insufferably stupid. I want to learn from the basics to like really well and jm willing to do anything right now. Where do I start and what books do I read to start. Is there any classes I can attend online. I need help.

Does anyone have the worst batch in your clinical postings?

It's been three years now, and I am in the worst batch in my clinical postings. They are so fucking toxic and useless people. So competitive for no fucking reason. I don't even speak to anyone in my batch. All are fucking morons.

Medical Students Needed for Research Study on Banking, Spending & Financial Behaviour

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeGZWdJU37JYDgXkitQRmT1ZPR_4SBnMRW6iJfpP-ctUz0u0A/viewform?usp=dialog
I’m currently working on a research project focused on understanding the financial behaviour, banking experiences, and financial awareness of medical students in India. The study aims to explore how medical students manage day-to-day finances, use banking services, think about savings/investments, and how academic lifestyles influence these decisions.

The form will only take a few minutes to complete, and all responses will be used strictly for academic purposes.

It would also really help if you could share it with other medical students you know. Thank you so much!

What is the correct way of advising a patient to get a CBCT to see a particular tooth in a prescription?

What is the medically correct way of writing in a prescription?

I know in trauma cases seniors simply write Adv: CBCT and that patient brings in a full report.

What about if I want to view a particular region or hypothetically I’m doing an RCT and need to view a specific tooth?

What was your first salary as a general dentist when you moved out of India and your current salary? PS: do mentioned where you moved to and how long has it been

My case I discovered I have congenital scoliosis (mild) before starting Dental College, at that time I didn't really realise how demanding dentistry can be wether you work private - 3 to 4 patients per day or work in a charity clinic 20 patients per day, overall it does take-up most of 8 hr shifts in work in a very bad posture

I've been practicing less than 3 years. I love working, but when the day ends I hate that I worked and then the next morning I feel guilty for hating 😂

Anyways I'm looking for comparatively Good and better opportunities

Hoping someone who moved out can leave their input

Wether it's worth it or not?

As in income V/S tax, accommodation, food, lifestyle healthcare V/S savings

And I ask this as a female dentist tryna do it all solo

Bds in madhya pradesh

I live in Madhya Pradesh and I’m thinking about doing BDS, probably from a private college. I just want an honest reality check from people in MP itself.

Is there actually any scope for BDS in Madhya Pradesh now?

I keep hearing mixed things — some people say dentistry is saturated, salaries are very low initially, and private BDS is not worth the fees. At the same time, others say if you build good skills and open a clinic in tier 2/3 cities, you can still earn well.

I want to know specifically about MP:

- Is there demand for dentists in cities like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior etc.?

- Is opening a clinic in MP profitable nowadays?

- What’s the average starting salary after BDS in MP?

- Is MDS almost compulsory now?

- Does private college matter much in dentistry?

- Are there enough government or private jobs in MP?

I’ve also seen many reports of BDS seats remaining vacant in MP private colleges, which makes me worried about the future.

Would really appreciate honest opinions from BDS students, dentists, interns, or anyone from Madhya Pradesh.

Is bds private worth it?

I’m very confused whether to opt for bds private in India or not. Need suggestions from seniors. Is it better to go for mbbs abroad or bds private. Also further after bds how difficult it is to work abroad ?

why do patients from rural expect a dentist to not charge for consultation?

i work in a clinic which is kinda based in rural and there the consultation fees is just 100 and patients come there and be like im not getting treatment i just wan ask the problem?
i mean how fair us it for someone who
spent lakhs on education for 4 years to see their oral cavity for free?
