Derren Brown Scam going around?
First, I'm a huge Derren Brown fan, and as a fellow Mentalist myself, I have all of his books. Also, I get targeted by scammers all the time, so I usually just ignore them, but I've got this person named Rachel Fleming messaging me on every social media account I have claiming that Derren Brown has kidnapped her mother and replaced her for his new Almost Human show. I'm assuming he's not doing those types of stunts (hasn't in quite awhile) but I've never seen someone so persistent and convincing, especially since I can't figure out what the scam would be here... she's not asking for my contact info, or anything, just asking me to contact Derren and ask if "it's true". WTF!? I keep blocking her and she keeps finding me on an other social media account. Here is her latest message to me:
"Please reply please. Derren Brown rang me saying he is doing a stunt on us and that he swapped my Mum for a mannequin at the hospital to make us think my Mum has died but he has my Mum alive. He creuly hung up without telling me where he has Mum. He withheld his number so the police will not investigate. Please Please will you contact Derren Brown please and tell him please to DM me on Instagram please to confirm if it's true, if he will reunite us with my Mum. Please tell him to write and reunite us please this week. Please will you ask please for please? He will not reply to me and it's all so cruel. Please help, please make him tell me if it's true, if he has my Mum. Please? Rachel Flemming from the West Midlands. Please I'm not crazy, please say you will please?"
So has anyone else been getting this same message here?
