The photo thing…

So I’ve read a lot of people saying the photos that are on stage have been photoshopped or manipulated with AI. But, wouldn’t the person whose photo that belongs to realise that when they were on stage? Yes, the drawing behind the back part at the beginning may have been used with a fake pen, but how would he get the outline to a photo he’s never seen before? If he did it himself that means he would have had to seen the picture during the interval somehow, but then also had to then place the drawing it into the bowl which was being watched by people, like he asked?

Let’s say it was one of his stage hands that did the drawing and wasn’t him, how did it get swapped in the bowl from the original ‘drawing’?

I did enjoy the show, however, I did think this is one of his weakest ones. I didn’t understand the relevance of the whole hospital thing and making the person on stage feel as though they had time travelled, without them acknowledging it or him even mentioning it to them? Anyways, it was still a great show and I was thoroughly entertained! My words were Paris, polo shirt and dining chair, which were all coincidentally mentioned to me in one sentence the morning of the show 🤯

Edinburgh Matinee Saturday 27th June Finale - Spoilers

hi,

I was at the Saturday Matinee of Only Human in Edinburgh. When he had the 3 people on stage at the end for the picture section, it sounded like the woman said the nickname of the man in her picture was “Toto”.

Derren didn’t reference this at all, and went on to speak about how we hadn’t had a Wizard of Oz reference & the ending happened in (what I’m assuming) is the normal way.

A few audience members shouted “toto” to no reply & eventually before the final bit he said something along the lines of “please no noise for this final bit”

I was just curious to see if anything similar had happened at another show, or if this was an amazing coincidence that made the ending a bit more difficult for Derren?

Only human (Left disappointed)

Is it just me or does this show just seem to be extremely mediocre? It's basically 2.5 hours of listening to fumbling about, doesn't have a clear direction and is all a bit of a mess if you compare it to the polished shows like Miracle and Showman which both have strong compelling stories from beginning, middle and ends.

The tricks are guess work pretty much or so it seems, slight of hand and everything seen before in other shows but just not as good.

The build up to tricks and wow moments are lost before derren even gets to to punchline and most of the beginning of the show was just digs at foreign languages and not being able to understand people.

Overall I felt this show was dissapointment and expected more showmanship and WOW he did that... Is it just me?

The whole "only human" Part of it is lost on me... Where does that come into anything?

The production felt severely unpolished unrehearsed and quite frankly boring in places sort of like "get to the point" and I've seen every show multiple times but this one was a flop by a landslide.

Quite a harsh opinion and it's only that but love to hear your views.
