I lost this bike in downtown Fort Worth this weekend

I took the train down for a soccer game and ended up meeting up with friends and drinking. I locked it up by the train station but was a little drunk and think I probably didn’t lock it up properly. Please let me know if you see it.

It’s a specialized AWOL painted orange by the previous owner.

Thank you

Beginner MTB trails in/near FW

I ride a enrry level gravel bike and wanted to dabble a little in dirt trails. Im in west fort worth for the most part ride my neighborhood streets, downtown fort worth, and sections of the trinity trail.

Ive watched a few YouTube vids of some MTB trails around here like Samason Park or Gateway park over by Beach St. Many times the vids focus on jumps or stuff that I wouldnt be comfortable doing with my experience and bike.

Before I decide to go all in and start looking at MTBs. Can you give me recommendations on which parks (specifically which named trails) that could be great for me to begin on with my gravel bike? Some decent single track that could 45 width tires can be okay?

Thank you in advance for any recommendations. Hope to see you peeps out there.

DFW Bikejoring??

Has anyone tried bikejoring? This boy needs to run and I love to ride so urban sledding is our solution. We are working on directional commands and I’m getting him used to his running harness while it’s too hot. I have my bike, antenna, bungee leash and his harness ready to go. I would love to know if there is a community locally that I’m missing in searches.

Also any trail suggestions that are not congested and are conducive to learning a new sport would be greatly appreciated.

TRE and DART

Shout-out to Trinity Metro and DART for the bike racks on the trains. I definitely didn't feel like biking back home once I made it to Ft Worth. 😂 This heat and wind sucked.

The only request is have for the trains is a bar-car 🍺

Needless to say, the levees are dry as a bone. Go ride!

Bike shops?

Hey everyone, I’m in town for the week and wanted to check out yalls bike shops. Any particular places I should check out while in town? I’m more in the Ft. Worth area as opposed to Dallas but I’ll travel for the best.

Thanks!

Stolen MTB

Hey eveyone! Long shot but thought I'de try here. My family and I moved to Texas this week. We stopped off in Ft. Worth to catch some Zzzz after 13hrs on the road. 4799 S 820 loop (hampton inn south city view)

As I was loading in luggage and getting my wife and kiddo situated on our room my MTB was stolen off my rack in the parking lot.

Bike is a black 2017 Knolly Warden 27.5 med (Mr. T)

Custom metalic gold decals

Handmade Mr. T sillo decal on frame

Gold chain

Chromag dagga pedals

Cane creek dual chamber shock

Chromag carbon bars

Brown/gold chromag grips and seat

Cane creek stem

I9 hubs

Xo groupset

One up v2 dropper

Gold cable ends

Etc.

If you see it around, please let me know.

Also I'm 90% sure the guy who stole it drives an early 00's white suburban.

Keep the rubber side down! ✌️

Bike friends

Ay! Any cool people here enjoy biking around WRL? Been living in Dallas for a year and half now and haven’t managed to make many sporty friends. Im on a vintage road bike (Lotus challenger) w flat pedals so it’s not really possible to keep up with you fast dudes on modern bikes (i wish). However im a strong cyclist that enjoys faster pace and chiller rides. My rides are usually 20 miles + but love a 50 miler with good company. I’m a chick and I’m 27.. please don’t be creepy, be cool!

Say hi!

34 y/o female wanting to get into road cycling!

Hi! One of my goals for this year is getting into road biking, as it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time. However, I’m kind of overwhelmed by it all and was wondering if you had any suggestions for a newbie. Would you recommend ordering a beginner bike online or going to a local bike shop? I live in the East Dallas area, not far from White Rock Lake. Also, what gear should I be looking into as a beginner? What is an absolute must, and what should I hold off on purchasing right off the bat? Thanks for any/all advice! (-:

Has anyone been on the White Rock Creek trail this week (6.22.26)?

Part of it was under water last weekend. I rode it yesterday from LBJ to 75 without issue but did not go further. Has all the mud been cleared from all the way to White Rock Lake?

Renting a gravel bike locally?

I've been riding a flat bar hybrid primarily on the paved trails in town for the last several years, but I'm getting interested in potentially adding a gravel bike to get off the pavement and on gravel/into nature.

Is there any place locally you'd recommend that rents gravel bikes by the day? I don't have any friends with one who could let me try theirs out, and it's been a long time since I've ridden a drop bar bike.

(also don't feel like a short test ride in the bike shop parking lot would be sufficient)
