Stuck in Chapter 4 completion of Season 38 Necromancer Journey.

Hi,

After say 16-17 years of playing Diablo 2 now started playing Diablo III with Necromancer.

After reaching 120 Paragon Levels, started Seasonal Journey with the Necromancer.

Now, unable to kill Adria with Torment 4 and then Reach GR 20 are remaining.

Many terminologies are also new to me and hard to understand.

I think I don't have good Gear.

Where should I gather the information, how to get good Gear, how to combine, what skills should I use with the specific Gear and much more.

Please help. May ask questions after getting the help.

Thanks in advance.

So I'm over Paragon level 300 and have just about everything I need for gear and gems, just missing two rings for cube. Right now just need to farm legendaries to try and get ancient or primal gear. What content is best to farm legendaries. And should I reforge or upgrade to get legendaries?

Since they are getting repeated which season themes are actually worth playing / which are the strongest.

On which season theme it is the easiest to push to 150 solo? Which paragon level would i need at which season theme?

Kinda new to Diablo 3, can someone explain to me why the Wizardspike is better than the Oculus?

Image of both here: https://i.imgur.com/NVEp8Tn.png

I crossed out the identical things in the stats.

Wizardspike has the "Consecutive hits to enemies" increase by 10% up to a 100% - but the Oculus has "+100% Damage" right off the top. Doesn't that mean that Wizardspike would have to hit ten times to even reach the damage bonus of the Oculus? How do these stats apply to me casting Meteor with those weapons in hand?

Wizardspike also has 15% higher attack speed, but I feel that when holding down Meteor it doesn't really seem to make much of a difference. And the 15% more damage against elites of the Oculus feels superior.

As far as Arcane Power, it feels better to get 7 per crit rather than having the maximum increased by 14 and getting measly 2/s more.

On top of all that, the Oculus has +1125 Vitality, which seems pretty helpful with a squishy Wizard.

I'm not doubting the choices of all the top Tal Rasha Meteor builds in the leaderboard, I just think that maybe I'm misunderstanding how damage works (i.e. the first point in this comment, bold).

Also, the Maxroll guide forgoes both those one-handed weapons and chooses a Staff only, which feels like an even worse idea, as then you can't squeeze in the Guardian set. No one in the leaderboards seems to use that Staff build, which again leaves me a bit unsure about what to do. My goal is to reach GR150, I'm currently at GR135 and kinda struggling to find any improvement.

Is it normal for a level 37 Monk to feel this overpowered?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently playing Diablo 3 for the first time and my Monk is around level 37. Is it normal to feel extremely overpowered at this stage of the game?

Right now everything dies almost instantly, to the point where I barely even have to attack manually. I found a legendary belt that keeps Sweeping Wind active permanently, so I basically don’t even have to click anything anymore — enemies just die when they get close to me. Honestly, it’s starting to take the fun out of the game.

Did I accidentally make some broken build, or is the leveling experience in Diablo 3 just designed like this nowadays? Should I increase the difficulty or does the game become more balanced later on?

My stats:

Damage increased by Dexterity: 1442%

Damage: 3726

Armor: 2279

Help - Trying to get first GR150

maxroll link isn't perfect. First time using it. i imported character, but still. Doesn't show ethereal item - which is Wizardspike with:

Grand Vizier power - 389%

rank 136 aug gem / +680 int.

Elemental exposure passive.

7% crd and 1.85 per second arcane power regen.

And it only let me add 200 points to Int paragon. but i have 1162 points in int paragon lol.

anyway. Help.

Everything *was* going well. trying to get my frist GR150 done (been playing since season 9 - but this is far and away the hardest i've worked at it. previous best was GR135 and para 1250. I'm currently para 2062. cleared a gr144. and going into 145 it's like i hit a brick wall. I've burned probably 50 keys. run all the way through maybe 10 rifts at 145. and i've only spawned the guardian in once during the 15 minutes. and that was with like 10 seconds left.

recently switched to rubys instead of topez in chest and pants.

I've been messing with passives. I've tried unstable anomoly, dominance, galvanizing ward. Using audacity instead of a 2nd defensive passive to try and help with some of the elites and guardians that wont give me space.

Main gems are stricken and trapped at 145. and zei's at 143.

Using stone of jordan instead of CoE. i thought all elements having a buff might even out vs the cycle? i've been trying to roll a good CoE just in case the consensus is i need it instead.

So. again... help? Skill issue from not having played at this level before? trial and error? just need to keep trying?

I know i've got a long way to go to get to 150. and i dont really want to just keep pounding paragon and hoping at "x" amount of paragon it'll be enough. seems like 2k *should* be enough this season. but i could be wrong.

Et l'autel des rites, là on a démêlé le tout 1er noeud. Merci pour votre aide comme d'habitude, vous êtes au top.

First time playing D3. Should I be worried?

So I just got the game last night with the 2 expansions because they were on sale.

I watched a couple of videos and saw people putting necromancer on C tier but I really love undead so I wanted to play that.

Is it very unfriendly to beginners to play a necromancer, or can I play it without worrying? Mostly wanna have fun so. What do you guys think?

Would greatly appreciate advice for GR150

Hello, sorry for the massive wall of text, TLDR at the end but I might as well include any context and info I can think of in case it's relevant (and in case anyone feels like reading a novel). I am a relatively unskilled D3 player with a dream. I would love to clear GR150 just once in my life because I think that would be cool. But the step up from 146 to 147 feels so discouragingly massive. I really struggled with 137-139 as well and cleared my 139 with 0.6 seconds to spare, so I kind of thought I was doomed. But thanks to what I believe was mainly good RNG I basically breezed through the 140s so far. And now it feels like I need the best of RNG to even stand a chance. I got really close on one attempt but unfortunately I got Tethrys and I can not kill her in less than 3-5 business days due to her not spawning minions and liking to hang out right outside of my damage zone and dancing away when I move towards her.

I am playing nova necro with Trag'oul and Guardian's Jeopardy following icyveins/leaderboard build. All my items are augmented ancients except crafted primal offhand and non-ancient convention because I am not having much success getting an ancient with even decent rolls for it. I am using Scoundrel with 25k dex. I basically only deal damage when my convention syncs up with either his crit field, an oculus ring zone, or the damage potion zone from altar. My altar is maxed. Inventory lists my stats as 77 STR/DEX, 35,040 INT, 8987 Vitality, 10,634,284 Damage, 279,009,088 Toughness, 6,152,826 Recovery. Can provide specifics about any other stats on request but including everything would make a really long list.

Up until maybe 145 I have felt virtually invincible but lacking in damage. Currently I feel lacking in both survivability and damage. I feel like I need to dash around a lot in order not to die, but I only deal damage when I am able to stand still. Unless there is a secret trick to casting siphon blood while moving that I am not aware of. I have had decent success with dragging elite packs into groups of trash and essentially kiting them between trash hordes until they die, as well as grouping elite groups together. I feel like neither of these strategies are working out on 147, as they take so long to die that kiting feels impossible because scoundrel likes to stun them so they can't follow me and sometimes trash packs are just too few and far between. And I can no longer fight multiple elite packs at once because I take too much damage to be able to stand still and deal damage.

I have read on the internet which is known to never provide false information that pylons spawn based on how many enemies you kill or what % per map or something like that, so I do my best to kill everything I am physically able to but I still get at most 2 pylons per rift unless I am super lucky, and it feels like I mostly get speed and channeling, both of which are virtually useless for my damage output. I feel like the rift basically only has a chance of being possible if my first pylon is a conduit and there are multiple elites in the area so I can get many orbs and many kills which gives more pylons, and at least one other pylon basically needs to be strength, ideally I'd love a str pylon right before the guardian. But that kind of luck is very rare :') And atp I'm not sure how much of this is skill issue and how much of it is RNG issue. I am not able to grind for hours and hours due to chronic wrist pain which is aggravated by gaming. I am going to visit my grandmother for the entirety of next week and I am worried about not having time to finish 150 before season's end (and I really doubt I will want to try again next season knowing how much time and effort it has taken me this time).

TLDR: nova necro with Trag'oul and Guardian's Jeopardy, 77 STR/DEX, 35,040 INT, 8987 Vitality, 10,634,284 Damage, 279,009,088 Toughness, 6,152,826 Recovery, GR147 is really stubborn, not sure what my best options for advancing are, any advice is appreciated. Please feel free to ask follow-up questions etc.

I may have ruined the game for myself. Looking for suggestions for new builds.

I've made a couple posts and comments about my new favourite build in this game: 6pc Tal Rasha, 4pc Firebird, hold disintegrate and teleport everywhere, meteors auto-kill everything, it's a great time. GR 138 is enough to say I made a decent non-meta build, but it's basically hit the ceiling. Theoretically I think with perfect affixes and primals it would still just barely clear 141.

Today I wanted some novelty and decided to make a Witch Doctor. Got it to 70, played around with Jade and Zuminassa because I was hoping for pets or locusts go brrrrrr, but *wow* it wasn't even close. Even following the meta builds on the leaderboards, and focusing way more on my skill synergy and timings, just left me feeling slow and squishy, missing my Wizard greatly. I also realized that WD is the weakest (or maybe just least popular) class, so that didn't help

So does anyone know of any other lazy "press button to clear the screen" builds?

WW Rend 150 push build mechanics

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know why devs decided that Rend from Ambo Pride should not proc AD?

The question is here because its pure anti-synergy of WW Rend playstyle. You want to stack Rend in huge pool to do AD but its required to limit WW casts (gives Taeguk stacks and ability to survive) to avoid non-AD version. I cannot remember such a thing in any other class/build. All the story feels like bug.

P.S. sorry, I'm mad with WW playstyle and rift requirements (too much random)
