Does Dirt Rally want me to drive slow?
I've been trying to push higher speeds, and I just get punished for every time. If I stay 55-65, I can finish 4 event stages no problem, almost always 1st place, yada yada. But I'm driving like a grandma, I'm not taking any momentum through corners, I'm not getting the vehicle sideways, and I'm having fun but not as much as I should be.
Driving like a demon on the other hand: Very fun, but I can only keep it up for a few minutes at a time. Lose headlights on a dark track? Retire. Tires stuck in the ditch? I'm not waiting out that fucking timer. Retire. Take too much damage? Retire. I'm actively being punished for trying to push faster speeds.
Is it just that the 60's series cars can't handle pushing higher speeds? I've been saving up for a Subaru, do I need to start with a 70's car, or 80's car that will let me chase better rewards with more rewarding gameplay?
