This is a bit of a technical question. I am trying to make a character that uses the Double-Bladed Scimitar (DBS) and have it be able to use its bonus action attack.
Now using homebrewed feats and Items I've been able to make using a DBS very easy the sheet recognizes it and it rolls correctly for the regular action attacks.
The problem comes with the Special Bonus Action attack. The character sheet doesn't have it, but I was able to add it to the Revenant Blade feat as an action but since it's attached to the feat and not the weapon GWF doesn't get applied.
Basically I'm trying to find out if its possible to get this interaction to work. I tried looking at Great Weapon Fighting through the homebrew section but there's no modifiers or actions it's just a list of prerequisites. Does anyone know who GBF functions under the hood and how one would be able to replicate it on another feat?
I like making Homebrew, whether it be Monsters, Subclasses, or whatever else Recently, I've gotten into making Homebrew spells, but one thing I noticed confused me. When making a spell, you're able to choose which classes get access to the spells--however, you can also add subclasses to that list, even if the class the subclass if for hasn't been marked to get the spell.
This perplexed me, since I wasn't aware that a subclass's spell list expanded beyond the prepared spells that they get as part of the subclass features. For example, an Oath of Vengeance Paladin won't get any Level 1 spells that are different from the regular Paladin Level 1 spell list besides Bane and Hunter's Mark.
Am I wrong here? Does a subclass's expanded spell list go beyond just the prepared spells of their subclass feature? Or is this option on DNDBeyond something to be ignored?
How do I access The Drops.
Cheers

Hmmm I wonder if we are going to get these with the Arcana Unleashed?
I was just thinking about this. The spell itself doesn't state that anything happens. But if the Wizard dies and is unable to give the Simulacrum commands, what happens to it?
>Spell as written:
>You create a simulacrum of one Beast or Humanoid that is within 10 feet of you for the entire casting of the spell. You finish the casting by touching both the creature and a pile of ice or snow that is the same size as that creature, and the pile turns into the simulacrum, which is a creature. It uses the game statistics of the original creature at the time of casting, except it is a Construct, its Hit Point maximum is half as much, and it can’t cast this spell.
>The simulacrum is Friendly to you and creatures you designate. It obeys your commands and acts on your turn in combat. The simulacrum can’t gain levels, and it can’t take Short or Long Rests.
>If the simulacrum takes damage, the only way to restore its Hit Points is to repair it as you take a Long Rest, during which you expend components worth 100 GP per Hit Point restored. The simulacrum must stay within 5 feet of you for the repair.
>The simulacrum lasts until it drops to 0 Hit Points, at which point it reverts to snow and melts away. If you cast this spell again, any simulacrum you created with this spell is instantly destroyed.
>* - (powdered ruby worth 1,500+ GP, which the spell consumes)
When attempting to open the Art for a Shambling Mound to show to my players, I got a failed request:

This is the same error I've seen for years with the forum portraits, and monster images in the browser:
Why is this still a problem. I keep deleting my "Ratings" cookie, but it keeps being replaced and it alone is more than 2k.
This is now stopping me from using Reveals during games.

Hi all,
There doesn't seem to have been a sale since October 2025, do we think they'll be doing a summer sale this year? I have some books I've been holding off buying
Today is the first thursday of the month so there should be new drops but I was trying to find what time they'd come out but couldn't find anything
Hello brilliant minds,
In my semi-homebrewed 5.5e campaign, I am trying to create an item for a rogue character that when worn & attuned, grants (extra) proficiency for picking locks specifically (sleight of hand check mechanically).
I have not been able to unlock the magic combination of effects that actually applies any extra proficiency (advantage) to the character's existing proficiency to thieves' tools to make this work. Are my only options to give a flat bonus to all Dexterity checks (definitely not wanted), or tell the player to manually roll advantage each time (unideal)?
Any assistance is welcome, and many thanks in advance for your helpful reply.
Anyone use Steinhard's Guide before?
Hey everyone!
Because the subreddit gets an increase in posts when DDB breaks, we felt it necessary to update you more firmly on what's been going on recently with the forums.
We've explained things in this blog post, but the TL;DR is to combat the site instability the forums are causing, we're moving the Play-by-Post section behind the need to log into DDB.
This won't change anything for users who play in this format—you're already logged in, so you won't see anything differently. (You may also need to clear your cache to see the forums in the next little bit.)
graphic torture seems very off brand for D&D
Got an email from WotC asking me to "join the Wizards of the Coast Dungeon Master (DM) Research Panel". Is it legit?
So let’s lay out some background information before we dive in. I have had my DNDBeyond account for roughly six years at the Master Tier level.
I haven’t had any issues with Beyond before to this extent. No problems with Forgotten Realms Bundle. Anytime I have had issues with purchases they’ve been nice and helped get things sorted.
So I ordered the Ultimate Bundle for Ravenloft because my girlfriend is a big fan of anything Strahd. She was particularly interested in the Tarokka Deck alongside the book. We got the deck, the maps, the DM screen…..but no book.
So I sent an email to WOTC for some help resolving this. I got a reply a couple days later where they acknowledge the issue “Upon review, it appears that you do not currently own the physical copy of Ravenloft: The Horrors Within.” Followed up with the physical items that I received was all that was in the order. I replied back that their bundle listing clearly states that the Ultimate Bundle contains both physical and digital versions of the Ravenloft book. That was nearly a week ago and I haven’t heard back about it.
Has anyone else had this issue? What other avenues could be taken?
For this new content that was just dropped in D&D Beyond is it the full book that was released or only a portion of and if so would anyone know what was not released?
