Where the first 60% of it were personal quesiton like am I pregnant?

Seeking the next banshee needed to pacify Lord Soth and secure their escape from Sithicus, the party has found their way to a halfling village preparing for an eclipse and worshipping the enigmatic Grandfather.

But Grandfather is not as enigmatic as he seems... I mean, you see the episode title, you can probably figure out where this is going.

Im running a ruinbound from exploring ebberon and he's a Monster hunter class, Devourers guild subclass(Grim Hollow players guide). I'm looking for ideas on what I could multiclass with this to make him stronger against other player characters.

Reason being I'm working woth the DM to be in league with the big bad.

Am I the only one unable to copy text from my character sheet in the app on my phone? Trying to copy backstory info from my character sheet and paste into an excel spreadsheet because DNDBeyond functionality on my phone is hot garbage and I can’t even select the text to copy and paste it?

Am I missing something?

I'm very new to using Maps so I'm sure there's something I'm missing here, but I don't have the "Start Campaign" button anywhere.

I've tried all the troubleshooting tips off the site but still no luck.

I have a master tier sub and there are no other active campaigns.

Anybody know how to sort this out please?

I want my players to be able to move things more intuitively? Moving pieces into place and having them snap to the grid. Or having it so it's easier for them to get a grasp on. Additionally, I've seen other DMs have an undo button that doesn't appear for me. Frankly, I think the current map setup for D&D beyond is pretty bad based on what I'm seeing...

Or am I just being a moron and all of this is fixed by paying them $5?

I've started a new campaign and one of my players has decided to run a Blood Hunter. While working on some homebrew to give my best shot at updating the class to 5.5e rules, the player and I noticed that every other class and subclass is on the app except the Blood Hunter. This would be extremely handy as using the website to look up BH features on mobile is painful at best. Thanks!

When I try to export my dnd beyond character to pdf, the weapons don't show up. I've tried waiting. I have them in use, I don't know what to try anymore. Can anyone help?

A player and I just found out that they cannot access DnD 5E Expanded content for their spell sheet. I asked if they had ceremony and they cannot prepare it as a Paladin, and I as the DM can physically see the option for 5E expanded content. The player however, screenshared and it isn't an option. They have 5E Expanded Content checked, and we're very confused. Does anyone know why it's like this?

Additionally while we were talking about this, my aberrant mind sorcerer said he doesn't have Summon Aberration which should be added by his subclass, but it is not present either.

I searched this sub and the forums, read through a lot of posts, but ultimately still have some questions.

**The TL;DR is I’m on a tight budget, a 10-day in-person campaign starts in 2 weeks, and I‘d like to use DDB on my end as a DM to help me manage things. Can I get away with only the digital monster manual and campaign books, and also digital only Tasha’s, Xanathar‘s, etc.?**

I already own the 5.5e physical & digital PHB & DM Guide, and picked up the master sub for content sharing, but was waiting to pick up the 5.5e MM and Phandelver & Below on payday.

Eventually I know I’ll want the physical books, but can I reasonably run a few of the basic intro adventures with only the digital MM and digital campaign book? We’ll be starting with perils in pinebrook, then intro to stormwreck isle, and phandelver & below after that. It’s a 10-day D&D focused family vacation with kids haha.

Same question for things like Tasha‘s Cauldron, Xanathar’s, Mordenkeim, etc., would digital only suffice for a while from the DMs perspective?

If it matters, I do have all the physical core 2e books lol, and that’s also how rusty I am 😅

A few misc questions if anyone has the time:

1. is there a way for the DM to restrict what books are available to players when they create a character from the campaign invite link? Or which rules they use to establish ability scores and things like that?

2. I need to hide some NPCs so I’ve read the workarounds about creating a private dupe campaign only the DM sees, or a homebrew NPC, but is there truly still no way to hide player HP from each other?

3. Any advice on helping my players avoid meta gaming with the app? My DM style is more rp focused, but my players are all heavy video gamers with (mostly) no TTRPG experience.

So I’m a bit confused on how to work the map system. So far seems to be adding a homebrew map. It’s pretty simple and straightforward, but adding a character token seems to be a bit tricky. So I use a lot of homebrew character tokens because I like to be able to flavor a monster or stylized the player characters do the environment. However, every time I drag one of my own homebrew tokens into the token browser or drop them into the map I get sent to a weird page where it’s just the token and I’m not sure what to do from there. And there were just a lot of very counterintuitive options so any tips or tricks you guys could offer I’d very much appreciate

V3 has so much going on with it im just gonna give a couple bullet points

-PLAYER-

• new Character portrait panel
• side panel lock and side will stay after page reload

-GM-

• new notes format and layout
• in depth functionality for factions
  • structures for how factions operate
  • relations between faction
  • faction details menu
• regions to track where and who is within them
• 2 new sub locations
  • travel master allow you to ship items and travel over land and sea with planned routes
  • pigeon master for sending messages from one location to another over a timed period
• inhabitants of locations are now tracked and easily managed
• shops for a location may be auto generated based on size and wealth of location
  • this includes shop names and owners that can easily be converted into tracked npcs
• npc now have tracked info about them including attributes, faction, and rank
• and in depth calendar that is highly customizable
• a light and heavy weight weather system to make the world feel a bit more alive
• A GIANT FEATURE FILLED MAP
  • seriously... its got a lot going on

the big purpose of this update was to give the GM the tools to easily build a world that feels 3 dimensional and easy to navigate, knowing that their players can go to any of these locations and you already have a world half filled in for them to bring to life with typical chicanery.
