Boyfriend visiting in Qatar with Hayya Visa

Hello!!

I am currently in Doha, Qatar and been working here for about 6 months already. My boyfriend from PH wants to visit me in Qatar with a Hayya visa. Am I eligible to support him here? Am I allowed to provide AOS for him considering that we are not related?

If yes, he might be questioned by our IOs in NAIA…will there be risk of offload even though he has AOS? What should be the strategy?

Thanks in advance!

What's the best value PA amplifier available in Qatar right now?

Hi all,

I'm comparing options for a PA system and would love to hear from anyone who's purchased one locally.

Key requirements:

- At least 100W+ power

- Multiple mic inputs (3 preferred)

- Bluetooth support

Zone control would be a bonus

I found the Secuview 150W PA amplifier for 1,150 QAR which seems competitive compared to importing. It has 3 mic inputs, Bluetooth 5.0, and 4-zone management.

For those who've bought audio equipment in Qatar - is it better to go local or import? Any brands you'd recommend or avoid?

Appreciate any insights!

If there’s a divorce, can kids stay in Qatar?

If the mom & dad get divorced, what are the next steps that will happen + custody laws?

Kids are 10M and 14F.

Mother is not working, they are all under dad’s visa for residency

Would the kids / mom be able to stay in Qatar? Because kids have better education here.

mother wont be under dads visa after the divorce

can kids stay here with dad? or stay here with mom?

Qatar Banks stopped giving loans

I received a call from banks, and they informed me that, according to the recent QCB guidelines, they are not willing to provide any personal loans to expats*. Is this the case for everyone?

Has anyone recently taken a loan from banks in Qatar?

I believe this instruction was issued by QCB due to the ongoing conflict, and as a result, they are not willing to provide loans to experts until the situation improves.
When do you think the banking system will change the policy?

Please let me know if you have any details on this matter.
