Was in Morristown NJ and saw this door…reminds me of many I’ve seen in Europe
Helsingør is a relatively small city in Denmark (less than 70,000 people). Best known for the castle that inspired Hamlet, Helsingør is also home to an incredible density of beautiful doors. Sharing a collection of photos I took on my trip.
seen in Positano ( closed hours )
" la mode " @ Positano since 1946 !
I love the details in each frame depicting a part of Colorado’s history and environs, from Buffalo to covered wagons and mining tools to trains. Not sure if you can tell, but the whole thing is brass inlay. Very pretty! Not the best picture, sorry, but fantastic doors.
I think Tolkien’s drawing of the Doors of Durin is quite beautiful so I made a door to my garage with the design that lights up. Added the voice opening because it’s an obvious must for a door like this. Made from walnut, epoxy, and forged metal. Has a big LED panel inside to light the wood up. I also couldn’t help myself and changed Narvi’s name in the inscription to mine
Spotted these posh gems on a walk through Fitzrovia and Marylebone.
I complete forgot to post the door of the month for June 2026 here \o/. Let me rectify that now. I visited Venice in May and fell in love with portae de acqua (aka Venetian water doors).
Went there not knowing I would love this city soooo much. Very cool for an escapade on week-end .
And : bonus 2 pics from Bled, obvioulsy incredible
This, one of the side doors
