Handmade serving utensils my in laws have that are giving Dredge!
Small amount of context. My Mother in law who is.. 60 something? (Thankfully she will never see this to be mad at me not knowing, lol) She went on an exchange in grade 6 to Lorreteville, Quebec and the father of the family made these gorgeous wooden serving utensils as a gift. The man definitely looks like The Fisherman. Beautiful craftsmanship.
I know it's not technically "fanart" but it's the most fitting tag imo 🤷

Dredge autoportrait :)
I thought it'd be a fun challenge to try to draw myself in the Dredge artstyle :) I don't have it down perfectly quite yet, but I'm rather happy with the result anyway.
I used Krita, and I found that the easiest way to replicate the shading style is through using the lasso fill tool. It was a blast to experiment with it! The artbook for the game also helped quite a lot when it came to the process.
Total time: about 4.5 h

I asked a few days ago if the game was worth it
And you all recommended it to me, and it was quite good. A bit short-ish but quite good. I've not finished the DLCs yet. But close to it.
Since you recommended me a good game, I'll recommend you Dark Wood https://store.steampowered.com/app/274520
It's bit more "horror" and far more "survival" type kind of game, but I'm betting that if you enjoyed Dredge, you might enjoy Dark Wood.

Remove Haste SFX
Loving Dredge so far but I can't find anyone online who has managed to remove the SFX from Haste! The buzzing and drone really ruins the ambience, it's my only complaint about the entire game :(
Am I missing any tricks or mods that could do this? The game only lets you disable VFX

Nearly beat the base game and still haven been eaten :(
I’m on the final mission for the collector and I haven’t even seen the leviathan.
The only fish that’s killed me is the big tentacle thing in the south east.

I build a cursed perch wallet from leather
Made a fish from leather, made it a wallet, made it like two face, one side normal, one side cursed with extra eyes, ripped flesh and pointy teeth and fins.

Hopeful for a crossover with Abiotic Factor
I noticed something in the next DLC preview video for Abiotic Factor - Entropic Break. It shows a boat profile that looks like the boat from Dredge. Who else wants this to be a real thing?

Lost save
Long story short: went on vacation, didn’t connect my steam deck to the internet, booted up DREDGE for the first time (loved it!), played a couple of days, steam deck ran out of battery in the middle of a run and when I run DREDGE again my save file was gone (corrupted->deleted).
Can’t find any files on my SD (AppData or user folders etc), no save file, no backup.
I was really meticulous with my playthrough; tried to do all the quests, upgrades (almost finished the last row), turned back 3-4 relics (was about to get a mortar - I suppose). Boom, back to square one.
Has anyone got any suggestions on what to do? Any backup saves to spare, perhaps 😅?

What a Moment
So I just got the Camera and was wondering if there was any quests coming with it.. so I was just cruising around and tried to take a picture of any creature I came across…. When suddenly I captured this incredible Moment of a fight between two Monsters. I couldn‘t believe it haha so to all the Game lovers I Hope you enjoy it! (I couldn‘t find the picture Storage on my MacBook so I took a picture with my mobile phone)

Such a good game and I wish there was more.
This game scratched that itch for fishing and lovecraftian horrors beyond my comprehension I never knew I had. I enjoyed every second of it and how I wish there was more stuff to do in this game. i would pay good money for another DLC or even a sequel, but I am happy with the story & gameplay loop.
But finally I lay you to rest Dredge.
(Also I am very open to any game suggestions that are similar to dredge!)
