Please, help ,e find more bands like these

Hello. Over the past few weeks, I've found myself immersed in a search that is lately exhausting me, as I am looking for a very particular sound. It all started when I began to reevaluate Sunn O))), and from there, I discovered Nadja's early albums. Since those discoveries, I've found several excellent bands, but somehow they don't quite meet the requirements of what I’m looking for. I'll try to describe it:

  • I am looking for a sonic slowness that is glacial, as if making incredibly slow dark ambient but with doom and drone instrumentation.
  • The vocals should be clean, not guttural or harsh. For example, I immensely enjoyed "I Shall Die Here" by The Body, but the screaming repels me.
  • Corrupted also fascinated me musically, but it was all ruined when the vocalist started singing.
  • Bismuth is relatively close to what I want, but they only have two albums.
  • Nadja's early albums are almost exactly what I'm looking for, but their later albums are more melodic, with more conventional compositions.
  • I liked Jesu's "Heart Ache", although the vocals don't fascinate me. I would like something more whispered and ethereal or something totally instrumental.
  • Someone recommended Inoha when I mentioned my search for cleaner, ethereal vocals. It's not bad, but it's like listening to a heavy version of Lycia, and that's not what I'm looking for.
  • Albums that I have liked and that have come somewhat close to what I'm looking for: KTL's first album; "Unavailing" by Bismuth; "Let the Earth Be Silent" by Fvnerals; "Ceremony of Stillness" by A-Sun Amissa; "Weighing Souls with Sand" by The Angelic Process (even though it hardly resembles the sound I'm looking for at all, it's a wonderful album). And above all, my favorite album to come out of this entire search: "Touched" by Nadja.

Apologies for the wall of text and the phrasing. English is not my first language, and I am also tired from staying up late the past few days listening to records. Any help will be eternally appreciated.

[Looking for similar bands with this doom ambient sound] Slö Metal | Ambient Swim | Doom Metal Meditation

Stumbled upon this video after a Sunn O))) binge. I’m enthralled by the atmosphere. Could you recommend some instrumental doom ambient albums that are similar? Thanks in advance 🫡

KING DRONE THE GREAT — Iron Fossil Frequencies | Raw Drone Live Session | Dawless Analog

KING DRONE THE GREAT. One machine. One take. No edits.

This is "Iron Fossil Frequencies" — the opening session of a new era for Dronoisium. Raw analog drone, dawless setup, improvised live.

The machine speaks. I follow.

🎛 KING DRONE THE GREAT is the ultimate version of the legendary King Drone synthesizer. Six triangle wave oscillators with truncated vertices — three in the black section tuned for deep bass, three in the blue section an octave higher. Each oscillator has independent Frequency and Volume control. Low-Pass / High-Pass filter with Cutoff and Resonance. Three waveform LFO modulation (sine, sawtooth, ramp) with adjustable level and frequency. Line input for external signal processing. CV input on Cutoff.

No DAW. No samples. No corrections.

Part of IRON FOSSIL FREQUENCIES — EP 1
Full EP → https://dronoisium.bandcamp.com/album/iron-fossil-frequencies

Dronoisium explores the raw and textural spectrum of drone music, harsh noise wall, and industrial sound.

Loops with Vice-Versa

Eliane Radigue's piece Vice Versa was originally a single reel of magnetic tape with the handwritten instructions:

"Stereo tape - 2 tracks
The piece can be played:
• Track 1 separately
• Track 2 separately
• Tracks 1 & 2, simultaneously"

When Important Records released a CD of this expanded on this by providing two discs. One with the two tracks at four different speeds, and one with the two tracks. In reverse at those different speeds. An additional comment of:
"This will allow dedicated listeners to experiment with simultaneous playback of the work's different versions, recreating the conditions of the original installations"

I took note of this and decided to do my own take. I first recorded the regular speed tracks to a tape reel approximately matching the one the originals were recorded on. Then I recorded that to endless loop tapes at the various speeds. Here you can see me dubbing the final loop tape and performing with all of the speeds in symphony.

[Drone] Hello from Toshiki in Japan. My first post here.

Hello, this is Toshiki from Japan. This is my first time posting here. I am fascinated by sounds that move back and forth between heaven and earth, and they give me a real buzz in my brain. It seems people call this "drone music." I made my own drone music and put the track here. The traditional Japanese instruments used are Ryuteki, Sho, Koto, and Hichiriki. I filmed the video myself as well. Please listen to it.

Gears of War 4 drone

While playing my track “1222” for my live album Qxpel, I wedged an old Gears of War Xbox one disc between the strings of my guitar. It turned the instrument into this huge metallic drone machine, constant sympathetic ringing, weird overtones, and a scraping resonance whenever I moved the neck.

Probably the dumbest prepared-guitar technique I’ve ever tried, but it ended up becoming one of my favorite sounds from the set.

The album is out everywhere: Qxpel (Live) - The Store

Clip from the performance below.
