Is this a reasonable price for a DSi?
It’s an open box Blue DSi that comes with six random games. Low key hate how expensive mint condition DSi’s are nowadays.

Tried fixing my childhood Dsi, bought a new battery from ifixit and a bottom screen LCD, opened it up, put it back together, pressed the power button and a blue light flashed, the bottom screen flashed white, and the speakers made a popping sound, i opened it back up and re-seated all the ribbon cables, now it doesnt do anything when i press the power button, but when i plug it in, an orange light flashes, if i press the power while plugged in, nothing happens, and the light turns off until i unplug then plug it back in, the battery isnt the issue, i tested it before i swapped the screen and it turned on fine, ive also made sure its seated correctly, cleaned the pins on the ds and the pads on the battery as well as pushed the battery into the pins to make sure its making good contact. I went back and reseated every ribbon cable a second time and payed special attention to the top screen ribbon cable because it seems i didnt have it all the way in anyway. Im not sure what else the issue could be, because its the same orange light still and everything seems to be firmly seated in place just fine. I dont have a multimeter or any way to solder so any solutions involving that are outside my scope of possibility. If yall have any ideas please lmk and thank you for reading my essay worthy post.
I'm not a Nintendo consumer But this particular console was my childhood. Any recomended games
Hopefully this is the right sub for this..
My gf has a dsi she just found in her parent’s place and really wants some games that she remembers playing as a kid.
I opened my mouth and told her about this r4 card I had when i owned a dsi which had everything on it and told her I’m sure I could figure out how to do it.
Well two months later, I just came across her dsi in my desk that I haven’t even tried mod for her yet.
Hoping someone could link (or dm me in case the world government scans the sub) a blog or video that’ll show me how to get it done?
Or if anyone has an r4 card with a bunch of stuff they’re looking to sell that’d be a big help.
SOLVED! It was the wii photos hint cat
I'm not sure if this was a DSI game menu, or a Wii one, but im starting here first. I remember a game where on the title screen if you waited long enough a cat (or another animal it was in the 2000s ish) would walk across the screen, if you pressed the stylus near it, it would run away. I'm looking for it only to remember what it was, anything is helpful (even if it means sending me to a different subreddit lmao)
@kumakunkun I got it holding a charge in a very specific way. Now there's two ideas I have to get this red one, and a black one I also have working, 1 cleaning the charging port and buying a fresh new charger, or 2 take them to get repaired.
Spent some time getting the aesthetic just right on this one. Translucent blue shell meets ocean life. How’d I do on the design?🐳
@Kumakunkun, So I think loke 2 or 3 days ago I tried holding down the power button before I charged it (extremely dumb of me) and it did some very faint orange flickers, and after a few times of holding it down it stopped. But I don't think it was the charger, since both of my broken 3DS' charging light comes on when using both of my DS chargers.
I have been wanting this one for a while and I brought it on Sunday on eBay and it arrived today
Hi everyone!
yesterday I released a new update of A-Pix DS!
I added experimental animations, file previews, performance boost, improved input, grid with transparency, easter eggs and even more!
you can download it here:

If you give it a try, please give some feedback so I can improve it!
I recently bought a DSi XL with an odd thing.
It doesn't stay powered unless it's plugged. I looked for answers on youtube and reddit, and discovered that it's a "kiosk" version.
DSi XL Opened and with too many dust
i saw in that video, that it's a "simple" thing to convert a kiosk console to a "normal" one. You just need to remove three little things named C109, Q14 and Q15.
video : Talking about the Factory DSi + removing kiosk mode
My problem is that these 3 little things are absent on my DSi XL motherboard.
There are 3 slots though but nothing to desolder.
Detail of Q14, Q15 and C109 slots
I don't know where to look, i've searched during hours for no answers !
Please help me T^T

Thanks to u/Complete_Habit_4662, transistors and resistor mentioned by him in his nice video (go check it!) are located here, right by the potentiometers. :
does anyone have a website they’d recommend for downloading games? I did find one and it worked well too, however it doesn’t have a wide range of games to download
So, apparently, both my DSi’s can connect to the internet, only downstairs (I guess 5G internet is too fast for it but not the Wii.) my best guess is to make sure the DSi is away from the router. Or not, the main router is upstairs and the extender is downstairs and my second guess is that the DSi is connecting to the extender.
The person i bought if from said there are no modifications done and i didnt do any
But now i cant launch any games or apps
Not even camera
Any help
So, I ordered a replacement card from ebay, and it connected for the first time. But when I test connection a second time, because the apps won’t connect, it threw me an error screen again!
I've had this DSi for a while and its been last played in 2011(based on my last save date for my pokemon HG). Decided to hop back on and from the looks of it, theres been some build up of dirt or mold??(I lived in a very hot and humid area at the time) Its behind the screen so I cant just wipe it off.
My question, is this something I can take apart and clean off? Or is a replacement screen the only option?
I've tried looking for videos online about dsi screens but it's all about replacements. I just want to see if I can save this without buying aftermarket parts.
Thank you!
After 12 years ive turned on my ds and the screen is like this. How much $ is to fix this?
