Android is NOT getting suits.

Im afraid to say I called it...

ETA: The iOS Spooky suits are unobtainable for everybody now. The World Cup suits are. It's scummy as they egged us on for months saying android would "get them soon"

UPDATE: The staff member at Duolingo who announced suits blocked me after calling her out.

So, we're just not getting suits, are we?

For us Android users, it's been completely baffling for myself and many others to see how iOS got Duolingo Avatar Suits before everybody else. I mean, sure, there are less phones, less variety. You could argue that it's "easier" to program for iOS since there is a lesser userbase and lesser amount of phones.

But that's not the point. To disregard >70% of your userbase and excuse delay after delay is ridiculous! It's not just the suits either. Many a time has Duolingo rolled out something new for iOS months before Android even had a taste of it. Don't get me started about the web version, either.

Why not just release them at the same time? Up to that point there was absolutely no prior knowledge to suits. Literally nobody would have known about them or their release without it being released on iOS 7 weeks ago!! Almost 2 months of no news about the suits for us Android users!

How ridiculous is that? The largest demographic is being outfavoured to iOS for whatever ambiguous reason they'd like to give, but I truly do not understand why exactly they couldn't have just waited however amount of time to just release them on the same date? It feels like we're just an afterthought with many things that Duolingo does for iOS vs Android.

And to this day, we are still being ignored, and/or being given vague answers. We were told Suits on Android would release on June 15th. It's the 24th June. The developers refuse to respond about it. I do seriously wonder if they're egging us on just to say now it's an iOS exclusive feature, and we won't be getting it at all.

That would suck.
