Lassen National Park Manzanita Lake, CA

I've been working on my photography skills by visiting places around my area that are drivable so I can learn what a good photo is and is not.

Feeling solid about this photo, the morning was cold, but well worth it.

What would you change in the edit?

A reminder that the world is still full of beautiful places — and one of them is Yosemite National Park 🤍

The Sierra de Lagunas of Baja Sur are a must stop!

Baja Sur is undoubtedly filled with amazing spots, but El Refugio is by far one of the best places I have ever visited in my 40+ visits.

Quick little story:

first off, there are so many natural water slides and waterfalls to explore, this will challenge your concept of Baja, now for a story.

The son of the El Refugio saw Kristin and I hanging out eating left overs for dinner, walked over and said, "is that dinner?"

me: "yes, don't want to waste it."

him: "okay, but it's sad."

It really was sad, I mean day old pasta and some ground beef really doesn't look good.

20 minutes lates, he returns with two plates of tacos: "when you are done with those, we have more at the house. Come hang out with everyone."

With three tacos in our bellies and the left overs finished, we headed to his open air home and sat by the fire.

We talked until 2 am about what this place used to be, the rise of tourism, the pros and the cons.

If you head out here, be kind to the land and the people!
