Hello, I am planning a trip to Rapa Nui for sometime in early 2027, I have found some good package deals thru Expedia but there’s some small print saying it’s separate tickets and so if there was some kind of delay or issue I’m guessing it could be disastrous, it’s just such a better deal but I’m thinking it might be best to book strait thru Latam airlines? That is the official and only airline that gos there I think? Has anyone had issues booking thru Expedia or has anyone booked thru Latam directly?

I'm travelling to Rapa Nui late October and am hoping to find a guide who can share some history of the runway being built on the island in the 1960s. Ideally, it would be great to meet someone who was on the island when it was being constructed as I have some family history and would love to learn more from a local. Any recommendations?
