Brewsta

Unexpectedly really good food but the wait times were reallly bad. They made us wait for 1.5 hours for this but all of the stuff was good even the peach iced tea which I’ve seen is really watery and tasteless in most places.

Olive Tree Bistro

Hands down top notch food! The place reminded me of Italian eateries in Toronto. Everything was so flavourful and faithful to the roots. I want to visit again to try out more from their menu. We ordered the truffle mushroom mascarpone cheese pizza, beef steak with cajun butter and prawn linguine with tomato sauce.

P.S I forgot to take a picture of the steak and was already halfway through when I remembered taking a picture.

OD Pasta and deserts!

I barely see anyone on Reddit talking about OD's pasta and pancakes. I recently went to OD to try out some food. I tried their OD special pasta it was really good. The ingredients were fresh, the taste was good, and yesterday I went there again but to a different branch and ate the same pasta. The taste was consistent, and I really liked the ambiance and service as well.

I also tried their three-milk pancakes, which I liked but not too much: 7/10. This was expensive, but it was so filling that maybe 3 people can share it easily

Drinks mein I tried peach mango, which was 9/10 it was good although a bit expensive for the quantity!

And hazelnut frappe, which was 2/10. Not worth it, way too overpriced, and the taste was very basic, like I made it at home!

I forgot to take a picture of the pasta both times, so I am attaching one from the internet!

Robustica

Went to Robustica today. Overall place looks good. Food was good too. We had chicken tenders and glazed chicken tenders for appetizers. Masala fries were good too. The Beef Melt was tasty. We ordered a few steaks, the Moroccan Steak, Mushroom Steak. Unfortunately we ended up finding a hair in one of the steak but got complimentary dessert (Matilda cake which wasn’t really that good) and a 10% discount. Overall a good experience.

Catering advice needed pls!!

Hello foodies, really need your help

I’m hosting an event for 500 people roughly and I need advice regarding quantity
According to our caterer

Food:
Biryani: 32 kgs (48 kgs of meat)
Kunnah: 40 kgs (40 kgs of meat)
Karhai: 35 kgs (35 kgs of meat)
Tikka: 80 kgs (80 kgs of meat)
Fish: 60 kgs (60 kgs of meat)
Kabab: 45 kgs

Dessert:
Kheer: 40 kgs
Gulab jamun (one bite): 30 kgs
Taftaan: 30 kgs
Milky roti: 10 kgs

There’s also tea, salad etc but this is what I’m concerned about. He’s also charged us for the meat separately which is why i’ve mentioned it in brackets.

If anyone has done an event recently or has experience in the food industry, i would be extremely grateful to get some guidance in regards to the quantity

TIA
