August Underground

I'm thinking of giving all of these movies ago..But also feel a bit scared to go in blind. I don't like watching SA scenes that go on for way too long. Is there anything of that nature in there does anyone know? E.g i won't watch serbian film because of all the SA/CSA. Doesn't appeal to me. However gore i can do!

Help me fill out my Underground Splatter Letterboxd list

Low-budget and obscure horror built around extreme gore, practical effects, and bodily damage.

Can't find these movies

Hey I'm new to Reddit but pretty well versed in movie sites

I've looked in a LOT of places but can't seem to find 'Leviticus' or 'The Last Guest Of Holloway Motel' anywhere

I would love to see them both in theatres but both have main lgbtq+ themes which is probably why they're not playing in my country nor showing up on Amazon prime

I don't have apple TV either so if someone knows any way to get either of these movies online (for free) it would be much appreciated

I finished watching the August Underground trilogy and I want to know is there anything that could top it terms of extremity? (But no real gore, stuff with animals or Lucifer Valentine bullshit)

International feminine body horror films, shows, or stories?

Looking for feminist films or female-cebtric body horror films, shows, short films, and even stories. Being inspired by The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter and even newest stuff like The Substance. But I rarely see anything from other countries.

I wish to change that. Any recommendations, please?

(Already know Raw and Martyrs from France and Ugly Stepsister from Norway. The more body horror, the better)

Sadistic/ torture films

Looking for recommendations of sadistic movies the greatest example would be Mai Chan’s or funny games, I would LOVE if it had a irreverent tone sort of the type of movie that doesn’t sympathize with the vicitm nor with the perpetrator, kind of a complete opposite of lilya 4 ever
Thanks!

Jumping on the (super fun) bandwagon here :-)

Not all extreme horror, but there's some fucked up shit here.

I love seeing everyone's posts like this. It's really fun 😊 You guys have some great taste out there. Keep it going!

How bad is Irreversible?

I had seen this movie was trending online along with others like Eden Lake. I really enjoyed Eden Lake despite how upsetting it was- I thought it showed a fairly good story.

I wanted to watch this one for some time, but didn’t because I was pregnant and people were saying it’s THAT bad. I’m glad I held off with Eden Lake while preggo as well!! Is it worth the buy? Or just insane?

In light of Sam Neill’s sudden passing, we need Event Horizon on the site, now, more than ever!

It’s such an awesome, yet disturbing movie, the fact it’s rated 6.7/10 on iMDB is an insult to his legacy. May Sam Neill rest in peace.

Has anyone seen Ketchup on Waffles???

I just watched this movie on Tubi. I'm pretty sure you can rent it on Amazon as well if ads ain't your thing. It's a fucking nightmare. The film is very low budget like it feels broken at times. I need to talk about it though!
