Quick Rant About a Convo I Overheard

To chime in on the questionable behaviours and convo displayed at EDC. Let me tell you guys this one ridiculous convo I overheard that set me off.

Happened on night 1 while I was waiting for food. One girl was complaining to her friends how her EDC was almost ruined because her boyfriend was taken by ICE, hours before they were supposed to leave to attend together???!

She was mad that she had to find an alternative source of transportation because her MAN WAS TAKEN BY ICE?
Being a Canadian myself and actively engaging in American politics, I empathize a lot with the innocent individuals taken by ICE. It's just ain't right.

So a huge roast to this chick! For you to complain about how you almost didn't make it to EDC, how it was almost "ruined", and that you wanted to get "shitfaced drunk" to forget about it. Shame on you, big time. Hope that guy she mentioned is safe and okay.

It is genuinely mind-boggling. The absolute detachment from reality required to watch someone you supposedly care about get detained by ICE, only for your immediate, burning grievance to be: "But what about my ride to Vegas?!"

So add this chick to the list of the handful of attendees who are chasing that "main character syndrome.” It's a wild reminder that some people really do live in their own completely different universe.

How many in their late 30s / mid 40s going?

Ive always been so jealous of people who’ve gone to EDC and decided, im doing it next year. My hubs is 45 and just last year starting listening to EDM. No kids, young at heart, but were still old(er). Im sure there are people our age that go but are we going to feel really old there?

Ladies from Utah 801 - missed connection

Trying to help my friend in the cowboy hat find his rave bae (front center). She tried to put her number in his phone and call it but with no service it didn’t save!

They met Saturday night outside Circuit Grounds. Please help me help him. He won’t stop talking about her! 🫶🏻

Beware of Car thieves

[NOT MY VIDEO]

I’ve seen this footage circulating on social media. I searched here to see if anyone said anything about this and only found posts from 3 years ago curiously stating the same situation: on Day 2 - Green Lot.

Be aware and lock your cars and don’t leave valuables in them. Hope organizers and authorities do something to locate these pricks.

Which set were you most disappointed in and which set did you unexpectedly enjoy?

For me majority sets were AMAZING but i was quite disappointed with San Pachos set! Expected more of his old tunes but all in all wasn’t that bad!!

I ran into stereobloom on day 2 because main stage was being flooded for John summit and had a chance to experience Noizu, wax motif, and CID for the first time and my GOOOOOOOOOD had the time of my life!!!

Also Massano and solomon WTF WAS THAT PHENOMENAL

All the damn Rihanna remixes

Was there a mandate that everyone had to have a Rihanna vocal in their set

I mean I’m not complaining I love Rihanna but holy shit almost every set I saw had one

I almost stared dying when 9x9 of all people played a Rude Boy remix

3rd EDC sober, and wouldn’t have it any other way

I’ve gone to 14 EDCs now (only missed ‘23). And this is my 3rd year going completely sober all 3 days. Here was my experience this year

- I am so tired at EDC. literally need more breaks than I used to. Nice to sit for an hour and watch a stage from far away usually around midnight. The fireworks is a good time to sit and watch.
- I need to drink the cold brew coffee at least 2 times to stay awake all night til 5am. Also about 4 Advils to manage the pain in my feet.
- I need food (which before when I was rolling I never ate anything at EDC). At least 1 meal inside.
- I sleep much better.
- I remember so much more of what happened.
- I think I’m actually more empathetic and compassionate to people who are on substances as a sober person because I know what it’s like.
- During the day time I am tired but I don’t have weird nausea or hangover feeling that I would get from substances
- My legs are super sore
- I’m glad that if I feel shitty I just know that I should just get some sleep and that will fix it. whereas before when I did substances and felt terrible, even if I slept it didn’t help the symptoms go away.
- I used to get bad migraines the next day after substances and I don’t get that anymore.
- Definitely still enjoy the music and vibes all around.

If anyone else is considering it, hope you read this and find inspiration to try it. FYI I never considered myself to have any substance abuse issues. the reason I decided to go sober was just so I didn’t get anymore bad hangovers the next day and because I just wanted to take care of my body more the older I’ve gotten.

Also not knocking anyone that wants to take substances or alcohol. I’m very drug positive and always am looking to take care of folks who want to partake.

Am I crazy…?

Or was Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls played a bizarre amount of time by artists? I’ve never heard it played at any festival, including EDC, ever before. And I heard it 4 separate times on one day alone

I love the song but it was just so random and out of place 😂

Collected them all

Thanks to my wife being persistent she was able to weasel some of the cards out of the VIP crew members sneakily hiding in the crowds of the stages.

They are placed in order of discovery with kinetic being found on the last day before it turned into a hell hole with the weather.

I have three extras if anyone is interested or missing some. Wasteland, quantum and cosmic meadow.

To the Person Shuffling at A&B Sunrise Set

I think you were wearing black pants, a red baseball jersey type shirt, and a pash.

Who knows if you'll see this, but I just wanna say that you were absolutely killing it. It was really joyful to watch someone dancing so freely and feeling the music so fully.

You definitely inspired me to continue my own shuffling journey, because that shit looked so fun.

Thank you for putting out such good energy! I wanted to tell you in person but didn't want to interrupt your moment 🫶🏼 hope you had a great EDC!

hotel vs camp edc rv

Need advice from people who have done both hotels and Camp EDC RV camping.

My boyfriend and I are driving in from LA and have already done the drive to/from EDC the past two years, so we know that part is manageable. For 2027 we’re considering:
• Hotel May 13–20
• Camp EDC RV May 20–24

It would most likely just be the two of us in the RV unless we decide to invite friends later.

Hotels for the whole May 13–25 trip are already looking expensive, especially if we want a kitchen/suite setup, so now we’re debating whether Camp EDC is worth it for the experience and convenience.

Main questions:
• Is RV camping worth it for only 2 people?
• How are the showers/bathrooms realistically?
• Is the AC situation manageable during the day?
• What hookups/add-ons are actually necessary?
• Is walking back to camp after the festival as amazing as people say?
• Or would you personally choose hotels the whole time instead?

Would love honest pros/cons from people who’ve actually done it.
