Why am I banned in all EA games?

In 2023 I bought and played Titanfall 2 just to play it for single player. While playing single player I got the message that I am banned. I didn't care back then because I didn't wanted to play multiplayer anyway.

Fast forward to this year I decided to play Battlefield 1 with friends and right after installation I got the message that I am banned. It seems EA banned me from all its games.

I tried to write many appeals but none of them answered.

My guess is back in the day I made my account with a temp mail. Other than that I have done nothing and I don't have any software in my PC to be banned.

Is there a way to fix this?

Unjust Permanent Ban Used to Obstruct GDPR Rectification

I am forced to write this publicly because EA has been blocking or ignoring all direct communication with their Legal Department, Data Protection Officer, and Privacy team.

  1. Background of the Account
    Since 2019 I have played Apex Legends on PlayStation with the PSN ID Hrc_Tequilla(and previously also Hrc_prooffe / Prooffe96).
    I built a legitimate Level 500 account with heirlooms, rare skins, badges, battle passes and thousands of hours of gameplay.
    I have never received any ban or sanction on this account or my previous accounts since 2019.
  2. Origin of the Problem (around 2023)
    In 2021-2022 I bought a PC and created a new EA account. Around 2023, after the introduction of cross-progression, a faulty PSN-EA account linking occurred. My entire original progression became disconnected from the correct EA account and was lost.
  3. Two Years of Support Attempts (2023 – November 2025)
    For more than two years I contacted EA Help repeatedly through multiple EA accounts. Every ticket followed the same ineffective loop with no resolution.
    When I mentioned my GDPR rights as an EU citizen (Belgium) and asked for contact information of higher support or the GDPR team, multiple agents ignored my requests and simply ended the chat or disconnected the conversation. This happened repeatedly.
  4. Formal GDPR Rectification Request (20 November 2025)
    On 20 November 2025 I submitted a formal rectification request under Article 16 GDPR, Article 5(1)(d) GDPR and Article 12(3) GDPR.
  5. EA’s Own Confirmations and Failed Recovery Process (November 2025)
    EA Customer Relations confirmed in writing that they had located my PSN Hrc_Tequilla in their historical records and that the data still existed on the correct EA account.
    They explicitly stated: “we can start the verification process to start recovery”. I immediately confirmed I was ready and willing to complete all verification steps. Despite multiple follow-up emails to [edit: email address removed]and [edit: email address removed], I received no response and no further instructions.
  6. Sudden Ban Before GDPR Deadline (30 November 2025)
    On 30 November 2025 — while my GDPR rectification request was still active and the legal 1-month deadline (20 December 2025) had not yet expired — a permanent ban (Request-2820450) was suddenly applied to the account.
  7. EA’s Sanction Notice (19 May 2026)
    EA sent a notice with almost no evidence — only one vague log entry (time: 2025-11-30T15:22:59.898168Z → type: ban) and an incorrect platform listed as Nintendo Switch(while I play exclusively on PC).
  8. Apparent Retaliation and Obstruction
    I have now been forced to fight a permanent ban that has already been denied multiple times. This gives the strong impression that the ban was applied because the GDPR deadline was approaching, allowing EA to hide behind their Terms of Service instead of fulfilling their legal obligations.
  9. Suppression of Discussion
    Most of my posts and replies on the official EA forums discussing this matter are quickly deleted under the reason “spamming”. It would be far simpler for EA to help me recover my legitimate account rather than continuing to obstruct and silence me.
  10. Current Situation & GDPR Violations
    According to Article 12(3) GDPR, EA was required to respond to my rectification request within one month (by 20 December 2025) at the latest. It has now been over 7 months since my request on 20 November 2025 with no proper resolution.
    EA has committed multiple violations of the GDPR, including:
    Article 12(3) — Failure to respond or rectify within the mandatory one-month period (now more than 7 months overdue).
    Article 16 — Failure to rectify inaccurate personal data (wrong PSN-EA account linking).
    Article 5(1)(d) — Violation of the accuracy principle.
    Article 12(1) & 12(2) — Failure to facilitate the exercise of my GDPR rights (chats ended when GDPR was mentioned, ghosting after agreeing to verification).
    Article 5(2) & Article 24 — Lack of accountability and responsibility.
    Obstruction / Retaliation — Applying a permanent ban precisely when the GDPR deadline was nearing, effectively sabotaging my ability to exercise my rights.
    The ban now blocks the GDPR recovery process I was actively following. EA’s internal rules and Terms of Service cannot override mandatory EU GDPR obligations.

Banned 3 1/2 years after warning

I've been away for roughly 6 months and i come back and try to login to BF6 just to see that im "restricted". When i checked it out, i found out that i was warned in 2022 for "inappropriate behavior". I played the BF6 beta, and I've played BF1/4 quite a bit the past couple of years. I've already sent an appeal but its just crazy to me that i was banned off of a warning that i don't even remember getting almost 4 years ago.

I know this is asked a lot but why the fuck is EA not making a bf3. like BRO they are sitting on a gold mine. The reason can’t be “oh there is nothing else to add” there is loads of stuff to add all of the new Disney plus shows and shit so please explain to me why?

compromised/hacked EA account

A month ago my computer got infected with malware, more precisely a Trojan. And yes I am aware that you should never download anything from sketchy websites, but yk it’s in the past now. I’ve managed to recover most of my accounts, but since the malware got access to my gmail, the hacker could quite literally do anything with any of my accounts. One of them was EA. My personal data was stolen, and next thing I know was that the hacker changed my password, unlinked my original mail and changed it to something @hotmail.com. I had no idea what was going on and at first i didn’t even realise how bad of a situation I was in. I reacted really quickly and started changing every password I had and turning on 2FA. But because of the Trojan, I had to delete my email that was linked to EA (it was one of the reasons, but I kind of did it by accident too). So when I got to restoring my account I quickly realised that I ended up in a really BAD situation. I started a live chat with support, only to get asked a set of questions that I had no idea of the answers to. Also when I said that my account was compromised, they said that no weird activity has been detected. And with the birthday, like I have no idea what date I set, but most likely I faked it due to the fact I was a kid setting up that account. I don’t have the access to emails from EA. The only proof I found was my sister’s bank account statement back from when she bought me The Sims 4 DLC. The staff keeps telling me that I am really close to recovering my account, but since some of the data doesn’t match up, they cannot provide further help. I have tried every method, but nothing seems to work. I’m really in shambles because firstly, The Sims is one of my favourite game franchises, and secondly I spent a WHOLE lot of money on that account, only for it to get stolen. I spend hours a day trying to get it done and chatting with support but nothing seems to get it done. Any advice would help, and is there any chance of me getting the account back?

EA account hacked and email changed

My EA account was hacked December 2023 and when I tried logging in to Apex, the account had been banned, even though I personally never did anything ban worthy, and eventually found out that the email had been changed to some random Chinese one,

I tried again for the 4th time recently to recover the account only to be told that the details I provided were incorrect, but in my defense how am I supposed to know the details of an account that 1) i made over 6 years ago, 2) got hacked and had multiple details changed by the hacker,

Apparently providing proof of multiple purchases and half of my identity isn't good enough, has anyone had a similar problem but got it resolved?

oh and the account is locked too, but I'm not sure when that happened

Do EA ever reconsider really old permanent bans?

I got permanently banned on Apex Legends in February 2022 for abusive language/toxicity. I was 14 at the time and said things that I fully understand were wrong and unacceptable. I’m not trying to deny what I did or act like the ban came out of nowhere.

It’s been over 4 years now and I’ve genuinely matured a lot since then. I don’t behave like that anymore online or otherwise, and looking back I honestly cringe at the way I acted.

Apex was a game I put a huge amount of time into and cared about a lot, so I recently tried appealing the ban asking for a human review/reconsideration because of how much time has passed.

Has anyone here actually had success getting an old permanent ban reduced or overturned after multiple years, or are EA basically permanent no matter what?

Linking accounts

I have a problem. I’ve already linked my xbox account to my ps5 EA account so I can transfer my old Apex Legends account from Xbox to ps5. When I did my new apex legends account on my ps5 is now on my xbox. Same thing when I log into my ps5 it’s still the same new apex legends account. Did I actually lose my Xbox Apex legends progress? So confused.

Account Banned/Need help

Hi I was recently given a permanent ban on Apex Legends and honestly losing my mind trying to find any form of useful information about this. I've filed over 10 appeals and gotten the same response, despite me explaining the situation clearly and even requesting the reason for the ban, which has not been given. Sorry for the formatting in advance as this is my first reddit post and I'm truly desperate for any form of help. I recently started playing Apex again over a month ago, prior to my return I've only had 1 violation ever on my EA account in the 10+ years I've had it. My younger brother hasn't been doing so hot at home so to cheer him up I let him play on my account because it's fairly stacked with good/old unobtainable skins and some heirlooms. Due to him having issues at home he's been lashing out, more than your normal bratty 15 year old and wound up getting me a week ban. Not a big deal just talk with him and set him straight, I get that he's frustrated and is just venting. Fast forward to a week ago and I've been permanently banned on my EA account. The ban doesn't said the exact reason, and during my appeals I've requested an explanation as to why this penalty has been placed on my account. My brother swears he didn't cross any lines and I'd like to believe him but I have zero means of knowing the truth or even getting my account back. It's a season 0 Apex account that I've invested YEARS into, so it means a lot to me. I've gone through hell and back speaking to EA's awful AI attempting to force it to connect me to an actual human (if you lie and said you can't login to your account as a guest it will connect you). And when speaking to EA Advisors through live chat, they have told me to open a new case and submit an appeal through there, but when I fill this out it just gives me the closest help on EA's website, and I haven't gotten any responses yet based on the ones I've filled out. EA's appeal system does not appear to be reviewed by an actual human either as I get the same exact response every time. 2 Advisors said they would send my case to the ban team or ToS team, though I'd just kill for the opportunity to actively get a hold of someone and speak with them about this matter, as my account only has 3 penalties in 6 years and I feel this is a bit harsh of a penalty to enact onto someone. I saw some people mention EA's ToS tells you how to solve this problem, so if you are going to say that, please let me know where to look in the ToS to save me from more headache from this matter. Ea put a random mail in my two step verification

I dont know why but EA decided to fuck me over, and put a random email that I never saw in my life to recibe my two step verification code.

It was my normal email a week a ago and now I tried enter with steam, I tried enter with google, but then they ask for the verification code and its send to a email I never saw

I dont know what to do, theres anyway I can create a new account and associate my games in steam with it ?because right now, I already created a new a account but every time I try to open the sims the only thing that opens is a verification code ask, from my old account send to a email that is not and never was mine

Account locked/suspended

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here might be able to give me some insight or has experienced something similar with EA accounts.

My account was recently suspended/disabled, and now when I try to log in it shows as Locked instead of just suspended. I’ve never had any penalty history, warnings, or prior suspensions on this account at all.

I’ve used the account normally for years and have always followed EA’s rules. I don’t cheat, use exploits, or anything that would normally trigger enforcement action. The change happened suddenly and without any clear explanation.

I originally saw a message saying my account was “disabled,” but now it just says “locked,” which has made things even more confusing. I’ve already tried logging in and checking for emails from EA, but I haven’t received any clear reason or evidence of wrongdoing.

I’ve contacted EA Support, but so far I haven’t had any helpful explanation about why this happened or how long it will take to resolve.

Has anyone experienced something similar where:

  • an EA account gets locked without prior penalties
  • it gets mistaken for cheating or suspicious activity
  • or it eventually gets unlocked after review?

I’m trying to figure out if this is usually a false flag, a security issue, or something else entirely. Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

WHY IS EA SUPPORT NO HELP

Recently I had gotten back on Apex Legends on the same Xbox account Ive been playing the game on since the day it was released. but sometime last year I unlinked it from an email I no longer had access to or remembered the complete email so I linked it to an active email of mine. but what I wasn’t aware of was that I lose everything I bought/earned on Apex. I connected Ea customer service for help but the agent was no help so I requested a supervisor and they were preventing me from talking to a higher up. What can I do with this whole situation someone please help!

Help

A while ago I linked my apex account to an Outlook email that was made by my friend but I had full access to. About 2 years ago me and that friend fell out and everything was working fine until recently where I believe he's deleted said email and now no account of mine with EA is working on my Xbox and I'm just figuring out if there's a way to contact EA to get them to unlink the account and then I can hopefully get it back but if I can't then I've lost a lot of money

F EA and their stupid bans.

On July 15th 2024 I made an account with EA to play Apex on steam with some friends. Didn't touch the game again until yesterday my friends suggest we play. So I install the game, and then log in with my EA to be met with a screen that tells me I am perm banned. Turns out, I received a permanent ban on July 16th 2024 which is just a day after I made my account.

They said 'We observed Systems abuse in Your EA Account.'

This is incorrect, as I have never even downloaded any form of cheat in my life or done anything that is 'system abuse'. It is outrageous.

I appealed it, and explained, and they came back to me today telling me that after a review they found that the ban is correct and will stay in place. BULLSHIT.

So I got onto live chat and spoke to a human and explained the situation to them, and they told me that he cannot do anything about it, and the TOS team do a 'thorough analysis' to determine whether accounts should be banned. Well it clearly isn't a thorough analysis is it, considering I know that I have not violated any terms.

The live chat person also told me that there is no way to unlink my EA account from my steam account, and that they lock that to ensure that the ban stays in place, but it makes no sense right? Because I could easily just make a different EA account and play the games through the EA launcher instead. So why hold my steam account hostage? The only reason I can think of is that by them doing that, it means that people are more likely to just end up making a new account and purchasing the games again. Money.

So to conclude, EA is just a money grabbing company with literally no care for the customers. Also including a lack of common sense, how can you just randomly ban people with no valid reason. Ok they stated that they observed 'system abuse', but why cant they tell me exactly what system abuse I did, because I didn't abuse any system!!!

Banned 2 years ago and still can't find a way to appeal

2 years ago didn't was banned on apex legends for using an ai aim assist program i saw on youtube. I was younger and didn't even think about it i just wanted to try it because ai was new at the time. 3000 hours of playtime completely deleted within less than an hour. it was the stupidest decision ive ever made and all i feel is a pit in my stomach when i think about it. i havent even been able to play at all since then because i was hardware banned. 5 heirlooms and tons of rare skins i had saved up for all gone instantly. ive tried appealing but all i get is automated replies. and when i open a live chat they say to submit an appeal but it says i have no bans on my account so i physically cant even appeal anymore. i don't know if anyone has had any success appealing or posting here but if anyone has any tips i would really appreciate it.

EA is the most Do*s*** company ever

The issues just never end.

Bought BF5 and BF6 on Steam, and every time I try to launch either of the games, it starts validating files on Steam, then it does nothing. I have tried almost every possible solution from relinking EA to steam - all the way to uninstalling everything and installing again. But it just doesn't work.

Have raised support tickets as well, but they never got resolved.

In the past as well, I have had so many bad experiences with EA that I think I am done with them. They can go ahead and release the game of the century, and I still wouldn't touch it.

I literally just made an account like 5 days ago for Star Wars Battlefront 2 and about 3 days ago I got a message saying my account got banned? I literally did nothing other than playing the campaign. I'm so confused rn.
