Hey everyone,

I'm currently thinking about giving elementary OS a spin, but before diving in, I’d love to hear some firsthand insights from people who actually use it as their daily driver.

Specifically, I’m curious about those of you who work with it long-term or rely on it every day for productive tasks (office work, development, daily management, etc.):

• What was the decisive factor that made you switch to elementary OS over other distributions?
• How does the Pantheon desktop and curated app ecosystem hold up for your actual day-to-day workflow?
• Are there specific friction points or trade-offs you ran into when transitioning from a more traditional desktop environment?

For context: I’m currently running Ubuntu across both my laptop and my desktop (a ThinkCentre), and I’m honestly completely satisfied with its stability and performance. Still, elementary OS’s design philosophy and focused workflow look intriguing, so I want to know if making the switch actually adds value to daily productivity or if it's mostly aesthetic appeal.

I noticed when using GTK apps (GNOME Web, Flatseal), the cursor changes to GNOME one and is very big.
