I really like Elon but I can see how jaded he has become, and I don’t think his defensiveness helps bring his doubters around.

It makes me wonder whether our increasingly divisive culture wars are partly driven by a failure or refusal to model the other side’s point of view. When every misunderstanding is treated as proof that the other person is stupid, dishonest, or malicious, changing anyone’s mind becomes almost impossible.

I enjoyed this video’s contrast between Elon Musk and Bryan Johnson responding to hostile questions. I hadn’t realized how effective Bryan has been at winning over his critics
