I somehow never saw these when they were released back in 2023 but after seeing one online a month or so ago I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I had to make the move on this clean example I found on reverb.

The neck wood is the only tangible difference compared to the LTD. And yes, the handcrafting of it. I don't know if it's worth it for just the ESP logo on the headstock.
Just sharing a slightly unconventional EC-1000 modification project I just finished. I’ve been after a P90 guitar for a while and was tempted by a Yamaha Revstar until I decided to take this on.
I found a second hand 2004 EC-1000 on classifieds for a decent price, excellent condition. Swapped the EMGs with Q Pickups humbucker-sized P90s, added CTS pots, and a graphtech XL nut.
Great guitar, compliments my Schecter C1-Classic very well. Big and fat in Drop C tuning. I tried out Daddario NYXL 11s but will switch back to my tried and tested Elixir 12-56 set - the unwound G is a touch flabby on the 11s.
The nut was an essential upgrade - might be the age of the guitar but the original one just would not hold tuning on the unwound strings.
Especially happy with the pickups - give qpickups.com a look, especially if you’re based in Europe. These can do everything from sweet and soulful Pink Floyd, to John Homme style tones, to modern Loathe / Teenage Wrist.
Ever since I bought this guitar from Japan. I've been eagerly anticipating its arrival. The wait was agonizing because it's so beautiful; I couldn't wait to hold it in my hands and admire it. And when it arrived, it certainly didn't disappoint.
This is a Takada Custom Shop. The craftsmanship is exquisite, and it's in 95% good condition. The only minor flaw is some oxidation on the bridge. The weight is similar to a Gibson, being quite heavy, rich in detail. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.😍
i found this used tele that i like but i think the price is pretty steep for it with 550 swiss francs without a bag.
it does sound good and seems to have seymour duncan pickups in it with a splitable humbucker tho.
Anybody knows what these go for usually in a nice condition?
Aside from the Duncan’s and the gotoh bridge being non standard, anything popping out at anyone before I make a long drive?
For your pleasure, I present the first time my dear cousin Zach got to rip on a real guitar (Joke). He had just got done riffing on my 2024 ESP Original series M-II Custom NT/M, running into my Helix Stadium XL and Laney LFR-212. In this photo, he just got done TEARING shit up, and looked down at the guitar like “OMFG WHAT IS THIS”. I saw sparks in his eyes. He was nearly speechless.
He’s an Ibanez man in large, but I think he had an existential crisis. I’m trying to convert him.
On a related note, I’m mad because he’s better than I am. This motherfucker RIPS.

Scored a sick deal because there's a tiny blemish on the underside of the guitar. I noted that there are a couple of differences between this and my E-II EC QM FL, namely the knobs are shorter and more stubby than the EC QM FL (maybe due to no push/pull) and the battery tray is a plastic clip-on cover instead of the usual metal revolving tray.
Plays, feels and sounds absolutely amazing. So stoked.
It was so stupidly expensive to get this thing to Germany 😂
Anybody know anything about this LTD EXP-200 (I GUESS it’s an EXP-200?). This is a “surprise gig” in 2002 at some place called Kimo’s in LA, Bob Rock is on bass for this. I have never seen him play this guitar (or really any LTD) or seen any “gear” repository site/database talk about him owning this at all, ever. Even some of the “strangest guitars James has ever played” videos that list where he played some Jackson ONCE or whatever never mentioned this guitar. I’m kind of a gearhead so stumbling across him playing this LTD after James pretty much had given up on white Explorers entirely at this point is weird. He had already gotten Ken Lawrences, Deer skulls, signature non-Explorer guitars, his ESP Explorers basically some variation of black at this point, he pretty much hadn’t played a white Explorer since Justice at the time of this video, and this is like DURING the St. Anger recordings. I know one of ya’ll knows something about him playing this guitar here. Thanks!
I like that the 256 is so much cheaper, I dont mind modding in the future. Is the extra frets really worth it on the 1000? Mostly lamb of god, behemoth type stuff. Im also a firm believer in "buy once, cry once"
Im just so undecided and not sure if the price justifies the 1000. Im just a bedroom player.
