Buying an ESP from Japan.

Hi everyone, has anybody here experience buying an ESP from Japan and fly it over to the US? The price gap between these two due to exchange rates makes it materially less costly if I buy my dream ESP in Japan.

However, the return back is a big question-mark so I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with that.

Metallica fans: Do you prefer the EMG 81/60 combo or Het Sets

I personally prefer the 81/60, but only by a little bit. The 81 is more tight and attacking than the Het Set. But if they’re in a Snakebyte I won’t swap them.

Real snakebyte?

hey fellas, planning on getting this snakebyte for 400 bucks. guy said the only thing wrong with it was the volume knob being turned too far. is it legit? i think its pretty solid

Need help valuing my ESP Eclipse ii please

Hi all, due to unfortunate personal circumstances I have no choice to part with my beloved. Trouble is i have no idea what the value would be. I am UK based. Guitar was owned by my friend from new and I bought it off him a few years back. I think this was one of the last years of the Japanese built ones and wondered if that made them more desirable than the more recent ones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Guitars that feel similar to an M-II

Hey there,

a while ago I bought an E-II M-II in Seethru Black and it has become my absolute favourite guitar. While I like the feel of the Floyd, it is obviously harder to switch tunings or adjust intonation on compared to a fixed bridge guitar. That's why my next guitar should have something like a Hipshot bridge on it.

Apart from buying just another M-II, what other companies are there that come close to the same feel of my current M-II? I've looked into a Kiesel Aries, a used Aristides 060 or maybe a Mayones? I'd like to stay in an upper price point, because once I've experienced what a more premium instrument plays like, there's no going back.

Finally getting around to posting but got this on a sweet sale at Sweetwater and am in love with this ‘87 Mirage Deluxe.

This is a shred machine and does all the 80s metal to Ghost stuff I could want. I also like how the pickups sound on more blues setting since that primarily what I play. I was a little concerned with the neck since all my other guitars have fat necks but this is very nice. First LTD and I’m very happy.

Also, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD.

NGD: Does this count?

Went to Hong Kong. Saw this on sale for about $500. Snapped it right up. It's a Grassroots though, does this count?

Phoenix EverTune deal

In just the parts alone, this seems like a heck of a deal. But I have zero experience with this body shape, bridge, and pickups. How are folks feeling about these?

Finally acquired an EC-1000

I love my Tales from the Grave for its quality and smooth playability, I also am a big fan of Dopethrone and always wanted an EC-1000 as I’ve heard nothing but good things about it and damn people weren’t lying I love this thing!

Is this a real ESP m1 custom?

Found this guitar for sale for 250$ It has a serial number, 11119 on the fretboard, and an upgraded kahler tremolo. It looks legit, but to good to be true. Should i get it, or pass?

NGD!

New to me anyway. Now set up with hybrid slinkies and a few minor adjustments. Joined the stablemates and my Fender Strat HSS Redline Noir is up for sale.

Architects - Blackhole

Tried to nail these Architects Guitar & Bass tones using my Fractal/Helix devices. What do you guys think?

ESP USA Eclipse. Black Sapphire. She plays like a dream. Zero neck dive. Weighs 8 pounds so not too heavy. Thicker than my LTD EC1000 Eclipse as you can see in the side by side picture, but definitely not too thick. This is my first neck through guitar and its definitely my favorite style neck joint. Very comfortable.
