But I just stumbled upon Not This Time by Toby Ash, and had the most smoothest transition from that towards If You Wanna Stay by Norma Sheffield, and it is one of the best things I've ever listened to. Trust me

If you've been here for a while, you know about the Avex vs Beat Freak SEB Vol. 1-8.

If not, the Super Eurobeat Vol. 1-8 on modern platforms are NOT the original 8 albums - these are "remakes" of them in extended format, though some with altered or completely new tracklists.

For those curious, beat freak was a small Japanese label that had a good number of people that would move to Avex, the biggest being Max Matsuura.

I am aware the community does prefer the Avex versions, and I completely understand why - extended versions, actual digital lossless audio instead of poor quality vinyl rips, and no janky mixing/transitions. However, that doesn't excuse Avex from erasing history.

I think what should've happened on the 35th anniversary of SEB or even the 30th should've been the re-releases of those beat freak albums so people could appreciate where SEB came to be. Instead, Avex put the remakes on and said "oh these are the first 8, enjoy!" and left it at that. There is zero legal way to officially listen to these albums aside from hunting down second hand copies, as as I've mentioned, you will have a VERY hard time obtaining Vol. 1 as it remains to this day the most sought after SEB album in Japan.

But what do you think about these versions?

Yo entré por Initial D al Eurobeat, si, me gusta el anime pero no entiendo porqué incluso hoy día la mayoría de gente que conoce el Eurobeat es por Initial D

Hay muchos que entran por el anime y deciden adentrarse más en el género como la mayoría aquí presentes y hay otros que se quedan con Remember Me y Killing My Love pero eso es otro tema

Se que existen Touhou y MLP (Gracias Odyssey) y me alegra que sean vías alternativas para entrar al género, pero al final son nichos dentro de otro nicho, personalmente no me gusta Touhou en Eurobeat

Diría yo que todo se olvida, pero el Eurobeat aún sigue muy arraigado a Initial D y el éxito que tuvo, lo que hace que en Tiktok o por lo general en la gente que solo escucha música porque si, este simplemente 2 o 3 canciones de Eurobeat muy mainstream en lugar de los lanzamientos más recientes, aunque en esto tiene algo de culpa Avex

Correvano i primi anni 2000 e per pasqua ricevetti un uovo dalla carta abbastanza brutta: azzurro con dei personaggi stile manga dalla pelle bianca, stile tecno futuristico…addirittura uno di questi indossava una brutta copia di uno scouter sayan…si, abbastanza brutti. Ma oltre all’estetica la cosa particolare di questo uovo era la sorpresa che al giorno d’oggi non troveresti in nessun altro uovo di pasqua ovvero un cd con musica eurobeat. Purtroppo a distanza di 20 anni e forse di più quel cd non esiste piú perché non é riuscito a reggere tutte le volte in cui é stato sbattuto nel lettore cd per essere riprodotto. Purtroppo non ho memoria dei titoli o chi fossero gli autori ma in quella playlist c’era una canzone che ho sempre amato e che purtroppo ad oggi non riesco a rintracciare in internet. Era un brano ispirato a Dracula, molto cupo e tecno, di cui ricordo soltanto che prima che partisse il pezzo di chitarra elettrica (credo) una voce grottesca ripeteva per due volte “Dracula, Dracula”. Lo so che gli indizi non sono abbastanza ma qualcuno é in grado di aiutarmi ad identificare questo brano?

Okay this is a tough one: I tried asking chatgpt, googling the lyrics, and tried browsing through random Italo disco songs in hopes of finding it, so hopefully someone here knows the song I'm looking for.

So the song starts off with a woman saying 2 or 3 words (maybe it was 'dancing' or 'searching', don't quite remember). The voice sounded quite echo-y. The chorus went something like 'wild at heart ---- could never be apart' (I think).
