These Roman ruins sit in one of the most beautiful places in the entire empire
The Romans turned this quiet peninsula into a full colony In Butrint, Albania.
They built baths, a forum, an aqueduct, and expanded the theatre that still looks out over the water today.
Two thousand years later the arches, walls and theatre are still standing, surrounded by lakes, trees and the sea.
