Virtual Charity Concert

Hi everybody, this might sound really weird, but would anybody be up for doing a YouTube live stream 'concert' for charity in the next few months? It can be covers of music or your own songs, it doesn't really matter. The main goal is to provide entertainment for people and raise money for charity. I want as many performers as possible to chip in, as I want it to be appealing for viewers to actually watch. We will do the concert via video call and stream it out onto YouTube. One positive is that each performer will be able to advertise their music, and also, you choose a charity to link on the stream. For example, I'd link the mental health charity Mind. If you do want to perform, comment below so I can DM you or DM me through my profile if you can. Thanks a tonne

How to avoid last-minute device setup before a conference?

We had a conference setup recently where the devices showed up the day before and the team ended up spending most of the night charging everything, installing apps, signing into accounts, labeling devices, and testing printers.
None of that was supposed to be our main job, but it took attention away from speaker prep, registration planning, and the venue setup.
For teams running larger events, do you handle all of this in-house or work with someone who sends everything ready to use?

Listening sessions for EPIC program in Denver and surrounding cities (Colorado)!

Hello! I've posted before about these listening sessions and here I am again to spread the word to those who might be interested. I would with a non profit organization named Colorado Jobs with Justice. JWJ works on helping those with laboral issues getting connected with resources one might need. This year we are revamping the Equitable Possibilities In Construction (EPIC) program which focuses on listening and engaging with women and non binary people to share their experiences and determine what change we can help bring to encourage more people to join these work places. We have help 4 to this date and plan on having a few more before the end go the year; Which then we'll hold a summit where the participants and those others who have helped bring this together, will vote and decide what issue we would like to show most focus to. So if you identify as a woman or non binary, work in a male dominated trade, wanna be more engaged and connected with people who might experience the same issues you have, and live in Denver or the surrounding areas, this would be a great opportunity. Contact me with any questions you may have! Translation will be provided as well as rides and child care if needed. You will be compensated for your time

Hola!

special events.

Is there something I need to do to open the events? I never see the tab until there is maybe one or two days left and that doesn't leave me much time to get anywhere. Also is there a place to get information on how to best play the game. I'm getting a little bored just moving things around the board, I've been playing for a while and am only on level 25. P.S. what is a flair and tag I just picked one to post this. As you may have figured I'm not much of a gamer

What event gamification tools or platforms would work best for boosting attendee engagement at our upcoming conference, and how do we measure their ROI afterward?

We're hosting a multi-day conference soon and want to use gamification to keep attendees engaged between sessions—things like point systems, leaderboards, challenges, or scavenger hunts tied to booth visits and networking. I'm not sure which mechanics actually drive participation versus feeling gimmicky, or how to tie them into our existing event app without overcomplicating the experience. I'd also like to understand what metrics we should track to prove this investment actually improved engagement and lead generation, not just attendance numbers.

Where to rent ipad kiosks for an interactive display booth?

I’m putting together a booth for an exhibition next month and need around eight iPads for visitor feedback. Ideally we’d like stands as well so everything looks consistent and secure. Has anyone rented something similar before?

VIBE Sponsored Event July 18th!

okay so i’ve been sharing this event across every platform and there’s been one thing i’ve been holding back because literally no other social media will let me say it:

VIBE Cannabis is sponsoring a dab bar at our event with Lunchbox of Terps!
They’ll be offering different options of VIBE concentrates for all attendees

anyway — the event is Isla de Nado: The Reef, july 18th at Vintage Gold in Maplewood MO. it’s 21+, we’ve got a full 4/20 friendly lounge, a stacked lineup of local STL artists, a retro gaming spread, vintage and art vendors, and a themed night i’ve been working on for months. this one means a lot to me personally, i’ve been building toward this for a while.

if you’re in the STL area and you like electronic music, live guitar + actually being able to enjoy your night the way you want to — this is for you

🎟️ DM me for ticket info or scan the QR code on the flyer!

genuinely excited to be in a space where i can talk about this stuff openly. see y’all july 18th 🌊

POS compatible ipad rental for a pop up stadium bar event?

We are handling the temporary bar service for a huge stadium concert series next month. We run Clover/Lightspeed systems and need an ipad rental supplier that can provide 40 touchscreens, receipt printers, and standard cash drawers.
Has anyone worked with a vendor that sends everything out as a matched kit so it links up without a fight? I cannot have issues during service.

first time founder asking for practical promotion advice, not pitching the event!

Hi everyone,

I’m starting my first event business and would appreciate some practical advice on promotion.
The concept is called Curated Learnings.

The format is simple:

45 minute lectures in London social venues (bookstores and libraries maybe ), followed by audience Q&A.

The topics sit where AI meets real life, including work, privacy, energy, education, society, geopolitics and life sciences.

The goal is to make lectures feel more social, accessible and worth leaving the house for.

I’m mainly trying to understand two things:

How would you promote something like this on social media?

And if you had to choose between Instagram, LinkedIn and X, which platform would you focus on first?

This is my first time building an event business, so any practical advice would be appreciated.

Thank you 🫰🏾🫰🏾🙂

Where is the best place to rent tech setups for a silent auction gala?

Hey everyone, we’re putting together our annual fundraising gala next month and need around 15 to 20 kiosks for a silent auction. Since it’s a once a year thing, renting makes way more sense than buying equipment.
Has anyone worked with a provider that’s easy to coordinate with and actually helps you through the setup process without things getting messy on event day?
