I hope this is allowed; I saw no flipping in the rules but I think this may be okay: I've made the difficult decision to sell my ETID collection because my wife passed away and I'm falling behind. Not for lack of effort or work, just an expanding debt to income ratio.

It's all on discogs but I'm happy to work something out on here and we can skip discogs fees and I'm flexible on pricing. (Additionally there's a lot of other cool stuff on there) - I'll post a link - check it out! There's a lot of good feedback on there too!

I did an album ranking a while back, and a few of my rankings have actualy changed a fair bit since then. The last one really ruffled some feathers, and this one probably will even more so. Keep in mind obviously this is just my opinion, and is based on how enjoyable they are as a current listen, and not taking their legacy or impact at release time into account. Also keep in mind that there is no bad ETID, and even the lowest rank is still one of the best albums in metalcore. Cheers.

Miss this band

I'm from Scotland but on vacation in Frisco TX. We went to see a cover band of 2000s pop punk/emo/post-hardcore last night, mostly because my daughter is a big fan of Fall Out Boy and MCR and stuff like that.

About 10 songs in the vocalist said "this next song is for anyone wondering what Keith Buckley is up to these days". I had been seated for the show until that point but that was the cue to get my ass up front as they launched into a ripping cover of We'rewolf and they totally nailed it!

At the end of the show I thanked the entire band, as I haven't seen ETID since the Low Teens tour and that's probably about as close as I'll get.

The band are called "So Long Goodnight" and if you live in the DFW area I'd recommend checking them out if they ever play near you.

I’m asking this because there are lyrics that have deeper meanings and we can’t be expected to understand them all. There are references made that are out of my understanding, but I’d love to get to know them. Everything Keith wrote was intentional and meant something, but some things leave me pondering if it was deep or just sounded cool. So let’s all share lyrics that we don’t quite understand and hope that someone comments with an explanation.

For a starter, I used to be confused by “Untimely ripped unto this world, I was born again as a girl”, but I was able to find the meaning and reference. I’ll share what it means if this post gets 1 million upvotes 🧐 (that’s supposed to be dr evil but I’m drunk)
