Question regarding bonus actions (e.g. Faramir)

Hey folks,

We're new to the game and not sure if we have to pay a marker when using faramirs ambush ability to get a bonus action.

Is it really free or does it just not count towards the action limit?

Thanks in advance

Fate of the Fellowship is something special

I finally got myself a copy of LotR: Fate of the Fellowship as they finally did a reprint. I've only played it solo so far but what an amazing game. My first game was a total wash as I was learning the mechanics and had no idea what I was doing but I learned alot. My second playthrough was actually a success (barely). There were so many moments where I was like "this is exactly like the battle of the Pelenor Fields" and other moments where I was like "How cool would this have been in the books if Eowyn just went on a killing spree hunting down Nazguls". I can't wait to put this to the table with friends to play it cooperatively and try out new heroes and objectives. This is my first pandemic game and I can see why it is a beloved series.
