How can I listen to a call recording when it doesn’t have the play option

I have an iPhone and I recorded a call and now I can’t play the recording. I’ve tried to share it, but it doesn’t other end too. Is there some way that I can listen to it?

Started a channel dedicated to natural audio in beautiful places. Using Clippy mics and a Sennheiser Mke440 - YouTube

Thinking about adding a zoom h2e to the kit for some more versatility.

Contact mic + anthill

Recorded this with my Metal Marshmallow contact mic into a Zoom F3 in South Carolina.

Worm ASMR

Here we are, worm ASMR in all its glory. A Lom Geofon, a Metal Marshmallow Pro, and 2 Lom Usi Pro microphones. The Geofon helped capture the lower slithering rumble, the marshmallow helped with the glorious mid range crunch, and the Usi Pros helped capture the shiny wet high frequencies. No worms were harmed in the making of this video, except the gummy worm. He did not survive.

H6 zoom fell over.... is it salvageable

I had it on a stand and my recording booth knocked it over and bent it.

Is it game over?

Getting some WORM ASMR

So this was an idea I’ve had in my head for quite a while. I love the idea of recording creepy crawlers with contact mics so here I setup the Lom Geofon, Metal Marshmallow Pro, and a pair of Lom Usi Pro mics for some added flair. I attached the Metal Marshmallow Pro to a metal bracket to try and absorb some more vibrations from the worms moving around. I added 66 worms to the bin, a mixture between redwood worms and Canadian Night Crawlers. I’ll be posting the video on my YouTube channel later this week.

What I Learned About Fieldcraft from a Week of Field Recording in Romania

As a technical professional, I recently went on my first field recording workshop, a week in Romania led by George Vlad.

I went in thinking mostly about gear, recording techniques, and whether my drop rigs would actually survive a week in the field. I came back thinking a lot more about fieldcraft: patience, listening, placement, weather, timing, and the practical skill of learning how to be in a place.

I wrote up a few stories and reflections from the trip, and hope some of you can find them entertaining.
