Fionna makes me feel represented

Throughout both season 1 and 2, I feel like Fionna is the character I relate to the most because of what I've been going through in my life. And I feel that's kind of saying something since normally I don't feel this way about ny of the Adventure Time characters. This is mainly because their experiences and personalities didn't always neatly fit into mine.

Like I share this sense of having an internal yearning to go back to your fantastical childlike world but have to adapt and grow up as an adult in the boring real world. Of trying, failing and sometimes succeeding in maintaining your relationships to be there for people in your life even when it feel like they aren't there for you. Of having to come to terms with trauma and mental complexes you only barely knew you had after they become set within you.

I think it's a shame that Fionna got alot of flak in Season 2 as I can safely she's now my favorite character in the entire Adventure Time franchise. What also helps is that I'm trans so I feel a sense of gender envy with Fionna where I want to be able to feel feminine like her. Also I like the idea that's a Sailor Moon fan from the first episode and she's that she's a bit of woman-child and girl failure just like me

New Sneak Peak Promo Art for Adventure Time Prequel Show Side Quests

Remember this prequel show will take place AFTER distant lands’ BMO special and BEFORE 2007’s pitch pilot episode of adventure time!

That means finn would be between age 5 years old — 11 years old within this prequel show!

Joshua and Margaret and Jermaine will be in the show as well because they shouldn’t be dead before finn turns into a teenager.

IF they aren’t dead that means they will end this prequel show when Joshua and Margaret dies.

That would be a dark&rad finale for this prequel show to end off.

DOES ANYONE WANT TO SHARE ANY OPINIONS AND THEORIES OF THEIR OWN?

I deeply relate to Rebecca's Sugar song "Part of the Madness"

From the very beginning where that song first debuted, I spoke to me a very personal level about what's been going for the past couple years of my life. I won't get too deep into specifics about at times I feel like a ghost and all the things in my life that keep me going are either gone or gradually decaying. It's melancholic but kind of comforting in a way. Whenever I want to express my sadness, I come back to this and let myself get caught in the feels.

Did this kind of bother anyone else

Now I think the reason he didn’t bring em up is bc the episode was about finn and jake and they wanted to focus on them, but I half wish they put a line in of Jake asking how lady is or Atleast how his kids and grankid(s) are, assuming they are still alive. It feels a bit odd how he never brings them up once in the episode. Lmk what you think in the replies

I feel Fionna was hated for the wrong reason in this scene

So many people hate it that she kissed DJ Flame in front of Hunter and Fennel.

I don't think her kiss was just pure lust, but she was trying to overwrite her trauma. The concept is easy to understand: "I need to create new good memories about kissing to cover the tragic ones."

I mean yeah, she did hurt them, but apparently, her PTSD was triggered. I feel she is more redeemable than if she were blinded by her remnant love.

Finn's vitality was restored by HW but his soul was saved by Fionna

I've thought about the fact that all of HW's powers and the life essence she took from her other selves was enough to revive Finn through her green magic and reverse the original poison in his wound from the heart of the forest. ostensibly, her first plan was to tap some essence of the heart of the forest and administer that to finn. since the heart is made up of the source (god like creature) and all of the blood of the green wizards who hacked their hands off in an offering to recieve the power of the heart of the forest, it stands to reason that if she could have administered the essence she tapped in ooo that would have cured finn as well.

but would it have cured his soul? his heart? his emotions? when finn says he's thinking of dying soon, it's because he's already in a trunk in the bottom of his heart. that's where he is, alone - that's where he now finds himself. in a trunk carved with the dates of AT's original release, inside that safe space. so the thing is, when HW taps into finn's mind through fionna to fight the cosmic owl, she requires fionna as a passport because finn is not present, so she can channel his mind through fionna's because she is a finn.

now in the finale, she is physically holding finn, with her tree tendrils hooked into him - this should have allowed her to connect with his mind. but she couldn't, even while physically present with him AND having revived him with the essences of herself and her clan. the body was working again. she saved him physically. but she could not reach out to his emotional self, his heart, his soul... and needed to ask fionna for help again.

fionna shows up for finn. fionna quells finn's fears. fionna lets finn know he's loved, and that everyone screws up and is vulnerable in the same way. she shares her vulnerabilites with him, her anxieties. and finn takes her hand when offered. even when he originally shrank away from her.

fionna basically 'talked finn's soul into giving hw one more chance'. that means that even though there was a memento of HW in his heart representing her space inside his heart (boar tusk flute) it was closed off to her. he was unreachable to her. the wound was deeper than the one he recieved physically. it really underlies how important it is to not wait for a near death experience to be brave and have the courage to be vulnerable before the wound heals over with scar tissue you can't get through.

I can’t stop making art of my crazy hear me out ship (Fern x Fennel)

Have not seen F&C season 2, I just really enjoy the concept of girl Fern. Hope you enjoy the art/comics and understand where I am coming from with this lol ^(^^) maybe I can even inspire new shippers >:)

If you’re wondering why she’s taller it’s because my soul belongs to pairings where the girl is taller than the boy (I think it’s cute ok)
