I’m pretty new to working with Bosch security systems and I just got one of my first B9512G jobs. I was feeling pretty good about it… until I realized the equipment I was given is missing the D5370-USB. 😅
So now I’m trying to figure out what my options are before I tell my boss/customer that I need a part that apparently decided to become a rare collectible.
I can find older Bosch documentation mentioning the D5370-USB for RPS, but the original dongle seems to be discontinued and I’m having a really hard time finding one.
I’ve also found newer documentation saying the D5370-USB isn't required for B-Series panels, which made me even more confused.
For anyone who has actually worked with a B9512G + RPS:
Is there a current replacement or compatible equivalent for the D5370-USB?
Also, this might be a stupid question, but are these security dongles programmable? Could an older/discontinued Bosch USB dongle potentially be reprogrammed/reflashed to work as a D5370-USB, or is the hardware itself different?
I’m not looking for a generic USB adapter. I mean something that RPS will actually recognize as the proper security key.
Has anyone personally used:
a replacement for D5370-USB;
an older Bosch dongle that was reprogrammed;
another Bosch part number instead of D5370-USB;
or some other solution that actually works with B9512G + RPS?
If you've personally done this, could you please give me the exact part number and RPS version you used?

If i were to start up a new fire alarm company when i am done with my apprenticeship and when i get my licenses and documents all together. What would your guys opinions be on be partners with potter and mircom for fire alarm? Notifire is to difficult and basic. I was thinking about autocall but i am not sure yet. Kidde est is really difficult especially as a new owner especially in the area where i am at, And the same thing for siemens. What brands would you guys use? Brands that are less difficult and that are good quality for high end buildings to be partners with?
