Has anyone had any issues with downloading and installing Stremio on a Firestick (its just a basic edition Firestick, running the current OS 5.2.9.5)? I'm able to download the file (32 Bit for Firestick) without issues, but when I try to install, I keep getting the error message "Page Error - There was a problem parsing the package".

Is the version of the file maybe corrupt? Is my Firestick too old to handle the app? I have another Firestick in another room that I had no issues installing the app onto.

I'm able to get around Amazon's block, Flex/CHQ/TV streaming apps, etc etc.

My question is the only app I've had a issue with getting around is the sports ones (Sports x) etc

Any suggestions on other decent sports app?

*** Yes I own Onn sticks, I still do both, didn't see a reason to just chunk the Firestick hence you can get around it.***

I’ve heard a lot of buzz around the ONN boxes, which I understand are branded Thomson in the UK. I’m edging towards investing in one.

However, I note that a new ONN device is about to, or just has gone on the market in the US. Has an equivalent Thomson model been unleashed on the UK yet? And is it worth waiting for it?

Since BeeTV stopped working I started to use MobiFlix for streaming but the anime on there is in Sub only (atleast the ones I want to watch), are there any good apps that let switch for sub to dub?

Everything used to work really well. Now all of the sudden my max stick is slow and unreliable. It takes forever to browse using silk or opening apps.

Thinking about doing a factory reset any other ideas please share

I have 2 different fire sticks. On one fire stick, When I use my Disney plus app to watch a show I have no ads but on the other fire stick I watch the same show and have ads. How do I know what my login is for each Disney plus app? Does this mean I’m paying for 2 separate Disney plus accounts? Any help is appreciated.

I have a few Firestick 4k Max v2 devices in my house.

A few weeks ago, I started having an issue where I would turn off my TV with the Firestick remote, and then a minute or two later the TV would turn back on. This can occur more than once when the issue occurs, where I turn the TV back off again and then the TV would come back on.

The issue is definitely a Firestick issue, and not the TV because it happens on different TVs made by different manufacturers.

This problem happens only a couple of times a week, it is very random and not frequent - but frequent enough to be a problem. I don't want to shut down for the evening and then have my TV on the whole night long because the Firestick turned the TV back on after I left the room.

Is anybody else seeing this? Is there a solution?

As the title says, I need help with my Amazon Fire Tv continue watching list. I bought it back in October 2024 and at the time it was the newest model. I believe it is the Fire TV Stick 4K.

Basically, no matter what I do I cannot clear it. Movies and TV shows stay stuck there.

I’ve gone through individual apps and have removed them from my continue watching list. I have cleared the cache individually from the apps, AND have hit the clear all cache button in my settings.

I have reset my Fire TV twice now.

There are movies and tv shows that I finished already, that have been removed from the watch list for a long time now, that were watched when available on streaming and now not anymore. They are stuck and I am frustrated.

I have also had the issue, only with one show so far, where a show I’m watching isn’t popping up on my continue watching list. I.e. I’m watching Modern Family on Disney+/Hulu and I have to go to the app to continue watching it. I don’t know if this is related to my glitchy continue watching list.

When I google my problem, it tells me to highlight individual shows/movies on the continue watching list on my Home Screen and then hit the menu button (three lines). It says once I do this a small menu should pop up and I should be able to hit “remove from watchlist” to clear it. This does not happen. Instead, when I highlight the movie/show and hit the menu button, the actual menu pops up.

This is the only tip I have found from Amazon itself, and I haven’t seen this same issue from anyone else. I don’t know what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Option 1: Buy from Amazon directly (definitely authentic, latest model).
Option 2: Getting a Fire TV Stick 4K variant from AJIO for around ₹4.1k on discount, but I’m not sure if it’s the newest version.

My usage is mostly OTT apps, YouTube, and normal streaming on a 4K TV.

Does the newest Fire Stick version actually matter in real-world usage, or should I just save money and go with the discounted AJIO one?

Also, has anyone bought Fire TV devices from AJIO before? Were they genuine/authentic products?

I have a developmentally delayed child who we allow a couple hours of screen time after dinner. He is also Autistic and has high demands when watching his favorite shows. "Again mommy" and "again daddy" are heard over a hundred times in 2hrs., when he sees his favorite parts of a show. I want to give him the ability to rewind and play on his own, without the complexity of a typical FireTV remote (that has 30 buttons or whatever). In my head, this is a programmable 3 button remote with Rewind, Fast-Forward and Play. Does anything like this exist? I tried searching and was unable to find anything that met my search criteria entered and what's in my head for simplicity. I appreciate anyone's help!!

Hdo is working on an update . This update will be better than the old one. . The UI on this one will change a bit but it will look a little more like flix vision. I've seen a demo of the UI ON This one. They trying to add Netflix, disney, paramount, appletv, discovery, hbomax,brittv etc.. it's going to awesome if they can do it. But I'll let you know when the update is out.. I'll be one of the first to get the update to try out the day before it's released.

Title says it all, but I want to add : I'm not talking about screen mirroring. I use to go on YouTube for example (would also works with Netflix, Disney and many other streaming app), connect YouTube to the firestick, then chose a show and it would play on the TV and not the phone. Made sure it was on the same Wi-Fi, changed Wi-Fi (yes I changed it on both devices)
