When I’m watching the firestick on my epson projector, it runs for a few mins and then I keep getting a black screen. I have a denon 4800 receiver and epson 12000. Can anyone help?

I just bought a fire tv stick last year, and just know I got to actually use it, I bought it second hand and now it says that its marked as "lost or stolen", it's have no way to contact the guy who sold it to me, and customer service couldn't do anything, is there something I could do?

Made the mistake of buying a firestick select with the vega OS after my old firestick died. And yes, we all know it's awful for a bunch of reasons, but is it actually finished? A few things make me wonder if its still beta.

If I go to the app store, there's essentially no options to browse. It's has a few categories, but basically nothing. And some apps that you'd assume would be presented are simply not at all findable unless you actually know their name.

And it's not small apps; AppleTV is nowhere to be found, unless you specifically search for it.

Also missing is any list of previously downloaded apps, etc. I completely forget the name of a couple of apps I am separately paying for and there's no damn way in the Vega OS to find them. I FINALLY remembered the name of one, Criterion Channel, and of courses when I search it and download it I get the message "download; you already own this"... so it DOES know this is my app, its just not going to present that info to me.

I can see two scenarios; one is the most obvious one; amazon is trying to steer even more people towards the prime app to sign up for the services through them (of course criterion isn't part of the prime system), and the second is that they just rushed the thing out and will fix the app store later. Personally I assume it's the former; but I wouldn't discount amazon being dumb and lazy.

BUt Down the line when I was researching for this . I found out New FireStick HD has new OS than previous version one.. And Something about new firestick not supporting Side loading
I was suggsted to buy the Refurbished unit when they are still available as they are a very good deal.

Was wondering if there was an easy way to get ad-free youtube/spotify for free on my firestick. Smarttube came up on google, but it seems like that wont work with the firestick 4k+, what i have.

there's like 4-5 of them and i'm so confused on which one to get
i'm mainly buying for sideloading, don't really care if it's 1080p or 4k as long as it's decent and has sideloading available

p.s. : i'm looking for a cheap decent budget one since nowadays they gotten a little bit more expensive in saudi, thanks!
p.s. 2: i cannot get onn because it's mostly amazon exclusive and that isn't available for me

I have a Toshiba fire TV 70 inch when I connect my PS5 to it it flickers off for 10 seconds and then goes back to the screen and This loops for every 15 seconds. Can anyone give a solution? I’ve tried a different HDMI ports and different HDMI cables of troubleshooting called up to Toshiba Ps5 and fire TV. There is no solution. Can somebody please help?

Hello all, probably one for the Brits, I'm encountering a weird issue streaming the iPlayer over the firestick.

After a few minutes the screen goes black and the words 'optimising for UHD' appear. The screen stays black for about 30 seconds and then the picture comes back.

This is the case whether you have UHD on or off.

Not the biggest deal for me but it is driving my wife crazy (we have a one year old so it doesn't take much )

Any tips?

For a month or so I have not been able to watch Paramount+ on any of our FireTV - Fire Stick devices. The Paramount+ app will load but programs go to a black screen and ultimately time out. I have followed every fix I can find:
Clear cache and history, force stop, uninstall and reinstall app, restart WiFi, bought a new fire stick…nothing works. I can watch Paramount + on my phone but cannot screen cast it to TV, says Paramount won’t allow this.

What else to try? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I get Paramount+ with another subscription, so I don’t directly pay for it, or I’d stop paying for it.

So for context this is my grandfather's fire stick/sticks. He has had 7 fire sticks over the last 3 years, and this is the second this year. And it's just getting way too expensive. Does Anyone have ANY clue on why this might be happening? Most of the time the sticks just won't work with the remotes. So I don't know what the hell is happening.

Please help. I'm trying to find an app that is playing the movie Minions & Monsters. Thanks for your help.
