Being a content writer right now feels weird or not

You write something in your own words, based on your own research, you double-check it, refine it, try to make it more casual… and still they say IT's AI WRITTEN I was Like What?

That’s what happened to me recently.

I applied for a blog writing role, they gave me a task and I gave it my best. No shortcuts, no copy-paste, just my own DEEP RESEARCH of the topic. I actually enjoy researching and building content from scratch, so I took time for research and build.

But after I submitted it to them, they said that it looked like AI-written content.

And honestly… that hits differently. I just wanted to say them some words some casual words(ifykyk).

Rejection didn't hit me I thought I wrote Many articles on medium and Publish Many eBooks still they call my content AI write. At that time it's feel like—what does “human writing” even mean anymore?

I know AI can generate structured content, outlines, ideas… I respect that. But it’s strange when your own effort, your own thinking, your own creativity gets put in the same box.

Maybe I need to add more “human mess” to my writing. Maybe clean writing is now suspicious.

Still figuring it out.

I used to think AI rewriters were the answer. Ran everything through 4 to 5 different tools and kept getting flagged on Originality and Turnitin every single time. Then I realized the obvious thing I had missed all along because you literally cannot fool an AI detector with another AI.

Started using WeCatchAI a few weeks back and the difference is night and day. Real humans actually read your content and rewrite it. The output doesn't just pass detectors but it also sounds like a person wrote it because a person actually did.

It's not cheap like a free tool but for client work where getting flagged kills your contract it is absolutely worth it. Anyone else gone the human review route or are you still grinding through AI rewriters?

I used to think my landing page was “fine.”

It looked clean. Good design. Decent traffic.

But almost no one was converting.

As a freelance digital marketer in Alappuzha , this was something I kept running into again and again.

People visit… scroll… and leave.

No clicks. No inquiries. Nothing.

That’s when I realized the problem wasn’t traffic.
It was what people saw after they landed.

So I made a few simple changes.

1. Clear first message

Before:
Visitors had to “figure out” what I do.

Now:
First line clearly says:
→ what I do
→ who it’s for
→ what result they get

No thinking required.

2. One clear action

Earlier, I had too many options.

Now:
One main CTA.

Everything points to that.

Less confusion = more action.

3. Better flow

Instead of random sections, I structured it like this:

Problem → Solution → Proof → Action

It guides people instead of making them scroll aimlessly.

4. Simpler copy

I removed complicated words.

Short sentences.
Easy to read.

If someone understands fast… they act fast.

5. Focus on user, not me

Before:
“I do this, I do that…”

Now:
“What you get, how it helps you.”

That shift alone made a difference.

After these changes, conversions improved.
Not crazy overnight results… but clearly better.

And the biggest lesson:

You don’t need more traffic.
You need a page that actually makes people take action.

Curious what’s one thing you think is hurting your landing page right now?

Looking for Honest Feedback on My New Book + Sharing a Platform for Upcoming Writers

Hey everyone,

I just published the prologue and Chapter 1 of my new book on Ink‑Me‑On.com, and I’m looking for honest, detailed feedback from readers and fellow writers.

You can read both chapters by creating a free account on the site — no paywalls, no tricks.
I’d really appreciate any thoughts on the pacing, world‑building, tone, or anything that stands out to you.

I’m also sharing the site itself because it’s something I built specifically for upcoming writers who want a place to grow an audience, test ideas, and get real feedback before publishing a full book. Writers keep 100% of their donations and subscriptions, and you can set your own prices or make your work free.

If you want to check out my book or explore the platform, here’s the site:
Ink‑Me‑On.com

Any feedback on my chapters or the platform is welcome. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read.
