r/frenchie

We soaked it in epsom salts and it’s opened up on its own today. Do we need to pay emergency vet visit costs or can this wait till tomorrow?
Rachel’s official statement on the 4th of July: ‘No.’ ❤️🤍💙
My frenchie and his older sister 😭 such cutie patooties
My frenchie Bo was rescued from an abandoned breeders house last November and has been with us ever since. He is ATTEMPTING to learn some manners from his older sister. Our German Shepard Dixie is about 8 years old now and has become so much more playful and active with her new playmate....though hes a bit of a bad influence when it comes to eating trash.
Thanks for all the advice!
Took Louie to the vet and they said with age he’s going blind in one eye. I appreciate everyone telling me to book the appointment! The vet told me he only has a few years left (I was angry because no one wants to hear that but it is what it is)
We’re going to Starbucks for a pup cup as we speak!
Have you done allergy testing? please read.
My guy is a frequent flyer at the vet. We are strictly on Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein diet, Apoquel twice a day, Miconix baths… and we still can’t get his allergies under control. Cytopoint injections were ineffective and we tried a more inexpensive alternative to the Apoquel with no success.
Our only other options at this point are seeing a dermatologist and/or also doing full allergy testing and immunotherapy. To those that have done it- has it been successful? Has it been more expensive to treat? Is your frenchie happier or the same? Any inforegarding these treatments is helpful.
He is almost six years old and weighs 18lbs. (Included because people always ask lol)
