Finally Beat Vance's MFK Flagship Ace - Multiverse Hard Mode

Wat a crazy flight, had to be extra careful in The Ancient Homeworlds. It is my first run with Tuco's ship, and with Pre-igniter pre-installed, it made game ez mode.

Tuco's ship only has 15HP, so it is crucial to have Hull-repair drone, along with Mender in very late game.

Sylvan's ships will be next target! I read it is ezier to be defeated with missle than laser.

Anyway Multiverse is pretty rocks, thanks devs and all the contributors!

Question: is there a mod somewhere to make multiverse's judge boons permanent?

Ok so i just got my first boon, 5% faster gun recharge, and i got very excited until i learned it is only good for one run, is there any mod (or maybe config file) that makes boons permanent? Or maybe togglable? Yes i understand that stacking boons would be overpowered since the mod is not balanced around it, but i have a simple brain, i have easy time crushing enemy, i happy, i have fun. So, any mod like that?

Edit: Maybe a way to autorun a series of commands on startup? As it seems there are a lot of boons and going down the list of every single one i unlocked every single run start would kill the momentum

Edit 2: think i found something that fits the bill on command autorun, gonna give it a go https://github.com/mike-inside/FTLMultiverse-SaveRestorer-CommandRunner/

Yup, works a treat, i'm guessing itll be a bit slow when multiple commands need to be run, but it fully solves my issue

How often does this happen? 10 turn sector 8

I was very surprised when I saw this map, I don't think I've ever had one where it takes the flagship 10 turns to get to the base. Usually I see 6 turn maps, and it feels only occasional to get an 8 turn one. I checked the wiki, and sure enough the options are 6, 8, or 10 turns, so it's clearly something that does happen, I'm just curious how often, like does it happens every 10, 100, or 1000 runs?

My Mind's Telling Me Nooooo!

Had this run recently. It was going well since I had all the major systems however my weapon loadout felt a little on the weaker side. Functional yes but Hacking makes just about any weapon loadout functional. Got to a sector 6 store hoping to find better weapons and was presented with this choice (Note: Augments were on Page 2 but I edited the image to get them on the same page). Now I know the Vulcan is not thought of as a strong weapon but hey, it's been a long time since I've used the Vulcan. Surely with a Preigniter the main issue with the Vulcan vanishes right? Right? Plus I've been good and I found Scanners on jump 3 so I can treat myself.

The Vulcan was amazing, it won me the run, and all those top players insisting the Vulcan bad are clearly harboring anit-Vulcan bias not grounded in reality... is what I'm sure many of you out there are hoping I'm going to say. But nope, the Vulcan was bad. In fact what shocked me was just how bad it was even with the Preigniter. I didn't look into it until after the fact but in general it takes over 30 seconds for a Vulcan to come up to full speed. With a Preigniter you shave off about 11 of those seconds. In other words it took the Vulcan over 20 seconds to start contributing despite having a Preigniter. I literally added a Preigniter to my build and it was taking me longer to disable enemy ships than before I had it. That's utterly abysmal. Even worse, I had forgotten how poorly Vulcan works with Cloaking. If the enemy uses cloaking they get all their shields refilled. If you use Cloaking you are forced to choose between turning off the Vulcan to cloak longer or leaving the Vulcan on and severely shortening your cloak duration. All in all it was taking me longer to disable enemy weapons and making my defense less effective. I did win the run but more because I had strong systems and Long Range Scanners to guarantee higher than average scrap letting me get to weapons 8. At best the Vulcan did end the Flagship phases quicker but it did not feel good.

Strange Bug With Crystal Boarding

I sometimes get a strange bug where on of the crystal rocks remain in the wall after doing a lockdown and the enemy crew cant leave the room permenantly. Has anyone experienced this or was able to replicate the bug?

The sound it makes when your clone bay is down and one of your crew gets killed.

It's the most distressing, worst sounds in the game. It makes me feel like I am a mother and my baby is in danger. It is right up there to when my fire alarm goes off panic.

First Engie B win- how to do better with Loadout

(Sorry for the camera pic)

Just had my first engie B win (normal) and was wondering with this set up if a win with little to no damage would have been possible? I felt very strong leading up to the fight but had some trouble at each Phase.

How should i be using cloaking in phase 1? which duration and timing

How should mind control have been used in each phase?

Genuine question. Not even trying to complain. What the fuck are you supposed to do when you run into a beam drone on this god forsaken ship?

After an enemy surrenders, your fired projectiles don't connect but theirs do

I thought we would strike a deal and both survive but it led to an unfortunate end for me and is one of the things I would call unfair

Coming in for my warcrimes run.

First jump of Sector 2 and a second Anti-Bio Beam has been acquired from an equipment drop. Slug perfidy FTW 🐌

Update: photo 2 was the next jump and I have enough weapons to beat the Flagship. Good times!
