I’m going to destroy my HP printer

I absolutely hate my HP printer and now I equally hate HP the company. I’ve spent so much more time trying to get this POS printer to just PRINT than actually getting to print something. They ransom my personal printer from me in every way they can to squeeze even more money out of me. HP keeps boxing me out of my own printer unless I buy only their ink and have a monthly subscription or sign in to their apps. Must be online can’t be offline. I tried to use off brand ink and won’t let me. So I buy just the black HP ink cartridge because that’s all I need and it won’t let me print unless I buy the rest of their fucking color cartridges. It’s my machine! I own it! I should be able to print on my own machine independent of anything else whenever I want. If I only want black ink thats my choice on my machine. Stay the hell out of my way HP. Fuck all the way off HP and then Fuck off even more. I’m moments away from ripping this fucking thing off my desk and throwing it as far as I can into the street or against a wall.
Deep breath…..rant over.

Most people who followed $CYDY remember March 30, 2021. The FDA publicly stated that CytoDyn's claims about leronlimab were "misleading and not supported by the data", no benefit was shown in COVID-19 treatment trials. The stock dropped 25%+ that day.

What happened afterward was a class action lawsuit covering investors who held $CYDY between March 27, 2020 and March 30, 2022.

A $500,000 settlement has been reached and terms are now submitted to the court for approval.

Who qualifies?

Anyone who held $CYDY during the class period and suffered losses from the alleged misrepresentations about leronlimab's effectiveness for HIV and COVID-19.

Can I still apply?

Yes, you can submit your application now and it will be processed once claims filing officially opens after court approval.

If you were damaged by this don't forget to check your eligibility. GL!

Suggest a laser wifi duplex printer

Hello guys, I'm looking to buy a monochrome laser printer for printing documents. My requirements:

  1. Wifi printing with lesser connectivity issues

  2. Duplex printing

  3. Good print quality.

  4. Lesser paper jams.

My office has a dedicated scanner so I dont want a MFP. Just a simple, efficient and fast printer is what im looking at. We have 2 brother printers and im tired of the paper jams and wifi drop issues.

I was looking at hp 303dw but im advised hp has toner refilling issues. I've seen some cannon printers but they have print quality issues.....please advise if I should take this hp or try something in some other company.

Updates for Getting Payment on the Rivian $250 million Settlement

Hey guys, if you missed it, Rivian settled $250 million with investors over claims that it failed to disclose the true cost of producing its vehicles. And, I just found out that they’re accepting claims even though the deadline has passed.

Quick recap: In 2022, Rivian was accused of misleading investors about its vehicle pricing and production costs. In short, the company promoted its R1T pickup and R1S SUV as competitively priced electric vehicles, but investors later alleged that Rivian was losing substantial amounts of money on each vehicle sold and failed to clearly disclose how severe the cost gap was. As supply-chain issues and material costs increased, Rivian announced major price hikes that sparked customer backlash and raised concerns about the company’s financial outlook.

Now, the good news is that the company agreed to settle $250 million with them, and even though the deadline has passed recently, they’re accepting late claims.

So, if you invested in $RIVN when all of this happened, you can still check the details and file your claim here.

Anyway, has anyone here invested in $RIVN at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

An Expensive HP Laser Printer With Fewer Than 3,000 Pages printed

Never Again — An Expensive HP Printer With Fewer Than 3,000 Pages

I bought an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw in November 2022. This was not a cheap printer, and it has printed fewer than 3,000 pages.

When the original black toner needed replacing, I bought a genuine HP black toner cartridge (cost about $100), expecting that using HP's own product would give me good print quality. It didn't. The black was so weak that it was only like dark grey, an uneven dark grey. It was nowhere near the deep black I expected from a laser printer.

Later, because I was already dissatisfied with the genuine HP cartridge, I bought a complete set of four compatible toner cartridges — black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. The result was even worse. The color portions of the documents essentially had no proper color, and the black became even lighter grey, an uneven light grey.

So this problem did NOT begin because I used compatible toner. I tried a genuine HP cartridge first, and the print quality was already unsatisfactory. The compatible cartridges were something I tried afterward, and they made the situation even worse.

Now the printer is out of warranty. If I want HP support, I would have to spend around $100 just to get started. And then what? Who knows what additional cartridges, parts, service, or repairs I might be told to pay for? it's like an hole with no end...

At that point I asked myself: Why am I throwing more money at this printer? Instead, I bought a brand-new Canon printer for less than $70. It prints, scans, and copies. For less than the cost of simply starting the HP support process, I got an entirely new printer.

Think about how ridiculous that is: an expensive HP color laser printer with fewer than 3,000 pages on it has become such a headache that buying a new printer for under $70 makes more financial sense than even asking HP to help me fix theirs.

I'm done spending money trying to rescue this junk -HP printer. HP didn't just lose this printer. They lost a customer, not one customer, many,,, because when I talked to a friend who has an HP printer as well (a different model), she has the same problem. My recommendation: STAY AWAY from HP printers unless you enjoy paying premium prices for the privilege of fighting with your own printer.

What is going on with printers?

Is there anyone, who can explain, why printers in 2026 and its 21st century, works with so very low quality. Almost all my frends, people at work, have problems with printers at home. My personal expiriance is, that one day its working, next week you press print but it doesnt work, on printer you can see clearly all lights working and flesh wifi light that mean its connected, everything connected properly, but its wont work. What is going on with this HP, Cannon and other printers? Is there any suggestion about the brand of printer that we can buy and use it in case we need it?

Very good explanation of how to choose a color printer

4 Printers You Should NEVER Buy (And 2 You Should)

On YouTube. How to figure out the real cost and which printers are the best.

Description:

Buying the wrong printer can cost you far more in ink, subscriptions, and locked cartridges than the printer itself.

In this video, we break down 4 printers and printer categories you should avoid — including Canon PIXMA budget inkjets, legacy Samsung/HP LaserJet models, cheap $50 inkjets, and HP Plus OfficeJet printers.

We’ll look at how printer companies use starter cartridges, firmware restrictions, proprietary ink, subscriptions, and cartridge authentication to keep you paying long after you buy the hardware.

Then we’ll show you two better alternatives: the Brother INKvestment Tank MFC-J4335DW and Epson EcoTank ET-2800 / ET-4850 — printers designed around lower long-term printing costs and higher-capacity ink systems.

If you're shopping for a new home or office printer, watch this before you buy.

Please help

Hey everyone

I'm having an issue with my Epson ET-2720 printer scanner unit (Error code: E-02 / 100016).

Here is what is happening:

When turned on, the scanner carriage moves all the way to the end position (home position), but the motor doesn't stop. It keeps trying to turn and makes a loud grinding/clicking noise with the white gears skipping teeth.

The white calibration strip under the scanner glass fell off earlier. I put it back, but I'm not sure if I installed it correctly.

My model has two white strips (one wider strip and a narrow one). Should they be placed side-by-side (parallel) or stacked? Which direction/orientation should they face?

Does anyone have a clear diagram, photo, or advice on how the white calibration strips are supposed to be aligned under the glass?

Any help or photos from a working machine would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

It says there is a paper jam. There is no paper jam.

My HP Color LaserJet 477fdw tells me there's a paper jam. I've done everything I can think of — opened the back door to look for shreds that might be occluding a sensor; spraying the roller with compressed air; unpluggings/repluggings; examining the duplexing mechanism... So I can't print, or scan, or copy, or—

I'm at wit's end. Grateful for anyone who might suggest next steps, other than an angry trip to the recycling center.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve fucking had it with my printer

I own a officejet pro 8025e. I got it a couple years ago with little use for a printer. now I’ve been printing consistently everyday for the past 6 months and all I print is labels and holy FUCK is this genuinely such a headache. I have some figures on top of my printer and i cant even have them there anymore bc paper jams seem to be an issue every few prints. On top of that the horrible subscription bro…i was charged 60$ last month for it. luckily for me i have it on my credit card so i just disputed the charge. Im searching for a new printer if anyone can point me in the right direction. i just print black and white labels from my phone.

DO NOT BUY #HP #Printers THEY LOCK YOU OUT

DO NOT BUY #HP #Printers: WHY?

If your device isn't connected to the internet, HP BLOCK YOUR PRINTER FROM PRINTING!!!!! HP use cloud updates and "Dynamic Security" to track your usage, monitor your cartridges, and lock your machine, so you cannot use it as a printer. WHAT A ..... COMPANY! TAKE MY MONEY THEN LOCK MY MACHINE!!!!

SO YOU PAY LOTS OF MONEY SO THEY CAN SPY ON YOU AND DISABLE YOUR MACHINE

I HAVE ORIGINAL CARTRIDGES BUT THEIR STUPID PRINTER DOES NOT ACCEPT MY WIFI PASSWORD WHICH WORKS FINE ON EVERY OTHER DEVICE OTHER THAN THE F ING HP MACHINE SO THEIR PRINTER DOES NOT WORK LOCKS ME OUT OF PRINTING AND I CANNOT USE IT FOR PRINTING!!!!

HP IS A ..... COMPANY! NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Printer recs and my list of requirements

Laser
Color
Scanner (preferably send scans to email)
Auto duplex printing
Non-genuine toner compatible
Dual band WiFi compatible

The last two are what’s really limiting my search results. I currently have a canon and love it, but it does not work with my new dual band mesh WiFi.

‘Compatible’ ink cartridges?

A family member has a HP 6132e printer and has seen loads of cheaper ‘compatible’ 308xl ink cartridges on Amazon. Before we waste our money, will it work if it is HP+ registered? They say they come with a chip but unsure if they will still work. They’re still about £50!

First-time printer buyer: which ink-tank printer should I get? ₹18k budget, 500–1500 pages/year

First-time printer buyer looking for some advice.

Requirements:

  • Print + Scan + Copy
  • Ink tank + Wi-Fi
  • Email printing / print from anywhere is a must
  • Auto duplex and ADF are optional
  • Home use, around 500–1,500 pages/year
  • Budget up to ₹18k, but I don't want to pay for unnecessary features.

Considering:

  • Brother: DCP-T436W ₹12.8k / DCP-T535DW ₹16.5k
  • HP: Smart Tank 589 ₹12k / 580 ₹15k / 670 ₹17k
  • Epson: EcoTank L3352 ₹14.3k
  • Open to comparable Canon models too.

I'm also confused about Epson's piezoelectric printhead vs thermal printheads used by other brands. Does piezo offer any meaningful advantage in reliability, print quality, longevity, or clogging?

Which brand/model would you recommend based on real-world experience, especially regarding reliability, printhead issues, service, software and remote printing?
I live in a metro city and have service centres for all these brands nearby.

Thanks!
