Hey everyone, I was wondering how fast you're able to go in first gear with stock sprockets. I don't want to take the cover off to count the teeth but I went 60+mph in first and was wondering if that's stock. I can't believe this bike can do that. 1st gear is seriously tall imo.

hi all, I bought a 2004 Yamaha FZ6 from a dealer. They claim they have done a service before handing it over (oil/filter change and probably chain lubing).

I roughly use it once a month, very low mileage and I had it for 2 years (~500km/year).

What would be the recommended maintenance schedule for a 20yo motorcycle in good conditions using it very infrequently?

I have already a battery charger/maintainer that I keep plugged when I don't turn it on for longer.

Now I know that this isn't a huge problem and factory handlebar weights are already very heavy to begin with but since I regularly drive several hours doing 120kmh/75mph, I can't stop thinking if some of you have figured out ways to lower/dampen handlebar vibration at least a bit? feel free to drop suggestions!

Interested in buying a one owner 2006, with 100,000kms, Tires are near new and brakes, chain, sprockets have been serviced recently. Plus top box, panniers plus more tour goodies. Looks well taken care of. Listed at $3200CAD

Hello everyone, my 2008 Yamaha FZ6 s fazer with the old instrument cluster has the following problem:

Sometimes the ABS warning light comes on, and sometimes it stays off. When the light is on, my speedometer also stops showing my speed. For example, I’ll be riding for the first few minutes at 50 km/h, and then suddenly the speedometer drops to 0 km/h and the ABS warning light comes on.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. What could be causing this?

The bike had been sitting unused for quite a while, and I also replaced the battery. But as I said, sometimes everything works fine and sometimes it doesn’t.

I have an 04 fz6 and it runs fine,however after riding for about 15 minutes on the highway the bike won't go past 8k rpms and wants to shut itself off,what could this be ?

Did coolant replacement per the manual. I filled the radiator, filled the reservoir and ran the bike some, then checked level, level was good. Went on a ride, checked level in reservoir and in radiator, everything was good. The bike warms up to 3 bars (its the S1) and doesnt go above that. Lately I'd get the fan running ocasionally, but after the change the fan doesnt start. Is there any other thing I should check to be sure there is no air pocket in the system?

Exams are finally over so I had some time to work in this project. I fitted the printed pieces, however the light mounting points are off since i kinda just eyeballed it and hoped for the best. Ill scan the light in order to figure out the proper mounting points and keep you guys updated. The fitment isnt too bad as seen below and tape is their to hold the pieces together since i havent bonded them.
