Where do I find hardcore/gabber with more repetition?

I’m coming from techno and have been getting more into hardcore/gabber lately, but there’s one thing I really struggle with.

I love the vibe and the energy, but I can’t really get into tracks with 10 breakdowns, constant kick changes, fake drops and a new idea every few seconds. I’m looking for something more repetitive and hypnotic, where the groove just keeps going.

A lot of newer hardcore honestly feels like it’s made for people with no attention span. Every 4-8 bars there’s a breakdown or the kick changes completely, sometimes it genuinely feels like music made for TikTok/IG

How far back do I need to go to find hardcore that’s more repetitive? Is there a specific subgenre or era I should be looking into?

Any artists, labels or tracks I should check out?

Which song: I will have that power

It's 2004.. working at the AH stocking the coffee and candy aile. Back then stocking was done after the Appie was closed so the music was blasting. I recall a song that has always stuck with me but I have never found. Any chance /gabber/ knows the answer?

Lyrics I kind of recall:

I will have that power

That power belongs to me

...

Your power belongs to me

Something along those lines. That was more then 20 years ago. I don't think it was a local song, but it was near Haarlem.

Song search: I will have that power

20 years ago I heard a song that I have never been able to find. I don't recall all the lyrics but:

I will have that power

Your power belongs to me

Something like that.

If anyone knows I'd be happy

Project omeaga - Protusan Attack

A few days ago a fellow gabber posted a project omeaga track: prednison Attack. Great track!

But how about protusan attack? It's on the B side of the record prednison attack VIP (2004)

I blast it on full power, it has this raw industrial hardcore vibe going on. Please take a listen!

Imho it has what industrial hardcore is all about. Hypnotic sounds with those raw thumping kicks! At least one of my favourites!

What do you guys think of this one?

I listened to everything on Mokum, Rotterdam, Industrial Strength, and Drop Bass Network through the end of '94

Is there anything else I should check out to understand the pre-95 era?

How do I start

I've always been obsessed with hakken and I want to learn it. It looks too good when it's relaxed and fluid and I can't even imagine how good it feels to dance to the beat. There is too much tutorials on youtube but majority is just people going full speed. Also, it would be amazing if you have any tips that could help me.

Next gen early -

I'm a big fan of the new early, but most of it sounds exactly the same as everything esle. You cant hear difference in the tracks. Because most of the artists dont have a unique sound.

Its all the same FL studio construction kits tracks.

This is the same with uptempo and other styles ofcourse.

What do you guys think of this? And wich new early artists have their very own unique sound?
