Found an untouched, sealed Beijing 2022 Olympic Edition Galaxy Z Flip3. Still frozen on its day one December 2021 factory build (One UI 4.0)

Managed to get my hands on one of these today! Found it open box but completely untouched with all factory wraps intact, for $320 (€300) and I am beyond belief!

I peeled the wrap off since it was peeling, but it still has plastic on the sides.

A few things I love about it are:

I booted it completely offline to keep it untouched. It's sitting on the launch December 17, 2021 factory build (BUL8 / One UI 4.0) and hasn't seen a single update since leaving the factory. Even the first-boot date was stuck on Friday, Dec 17.

It came with the original box and the untouched ring case still sealed from Christmas Eve 2021. The hardware is also spotless.

Definitely keeping this completely offline as a display piece. What do you guys think?

i love my flip but

So I've had my Z flip 8 for almost a week now, i switched from a samsung galaxy S21 which I kept for nearly 5 years. I've always loved Samsung products; the Z flip being my dream phone. So you can gather that I was very excited to finally be able to get my hands on it. But something I've noticed keeps on bothering me...it's the camera quality.

My S21 was 5 years old, and the selfie camera quality is significantly better than the newest Z Flip. I don't know how they're getting away with this and it's a bit disappointing. Every day it's bothering me more and more, as I'm someone who is very active on social media. Now I find myself carrying both phones to outings, which makes me feel kinda stupid since I was so excited for this phone and its unique features.

I'm mainly talking about the selfie camera. The back camera is great (probably better idk much about specs) than my S21's..but the difference in the front camera's are jarring. I wish I had been aware of this before purchasing!

And I really want to know, how do you guys deal with it? Could anyone recommend me ways to improve quality? I use the cover screen for selfies here and there but it's annoying if I want to film or post a Tiktok, the buttons start overlapping making it complicated to do so.

Is anyone else going through the same thing?

Besides that, I absolutely love this phone and have 0 complaints!!

Samsung, give me ONE good reason why Gboard is BANISHED from the cover screen!

There's ZERO good reason for Gboard not to be on the Cover Screen, it's worked in the past on my Flip 5 & 6.

And now with DroidOS Picker shows proof it works perfectly fine.

First picture, the cameras do cover up the enter & period keys along with half of the space bar (I do have shortcuts on the left side of the keyboard for those). Second picture is fully above the cameras.

This is the Gboardwu Morphe patched version that enables Rambler along with other device specific features from other phones, patched & standard versions works wonderful with zero issues or glitches on the cover screen.

Why isn't there AT LEAST a Good Lock module to support this if Samsung doesn't want to deal with support issues, if that's the real reason they removed support for this. Removing the old workaround that used ADB would have allowed only the most persistent, tech literate people to use it but at least it WAS still an option that I'm sure Samsung would tell you to kick rocks if you rang them up for support on that.

Good Lock on new UI9 update?

Hey all. After the update to UI9 my cover screen is basically unusable. I had it set up so that the first page when swiping right was a good lock setup with multiple apps. This let me do things like watch YouTube, open audio books on Libby, and even use Google Pay. All of the apps that I used daily from the cover screen can no longer be used.

Has anyone figured out how to get Good Lock customization back? And if not, what app can be used to add customization back to the cover screen?

I did disable the brief now page as it was horrendous

EDIT: Okay I was able to get this to work.

  1. Open Good Lock app and Update/Install MultiStar
  2. Open MultiStar > Make Sure 'On' > I ♡ Galaxy Foldable > Launcher Widget > Select all apps you want available for cover screen > Done
  3. Close phone, unlock, swipe right, press and hold to open editor
  4. Swipe right until you can add a new page > Apps > select either 2x2 or 4x2 option > Add > Tap widget to add apps (the ones you selected in MultiStar are what will show up here)

I disabled Now Brief as well

I had gboard on the cover screen of my flip 7 but can't figure it out for my flip 8 🥲 googling it shows me results from 2023, would anyone know how I can do this? Thank you!

Need a bit of motivation for this phone

Moved from an iphone 12 to a flip 8 yesterday and christ the camera is shocking, a 10x zoom of an object across my room leaves out all detsil and makes it look ai generated, and the pictures and videos moved from my iphone that were sent to me from a friends iphone 17 looks tragic and more pixellated than minecraft, when these were extremely high definition beforehand.

Is there any suggestions you guys could make for me before I throw in the towel and sell it to switch back to an iphone

How to access files through computer?

Hello so for context the inner screen of my samsung flip 5 no longer works and I wanted to get photos from my gallery. I was wondering if it were still possible to get them through my computer using a type c cable even if I can't access the screen to allow access to my files.
