We’re a small team of friends who make trailers & video content for indie games, and we just launched our new website!

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m Brad, founder and creative director of ByCherryMedia.

We’re a small creative team specialising in trailers, gameplay editing, devlogs, social content and other video/creative work for games. We’ve just finished rebuilding our website, so I wanted to share it here and introduce ourselves properly.

We’re a small group of friends who have known each other for a long time. We originally met online playing Call of Duty: Ghosts back in 2014. Over the years we all went in different directions, built different careers and picked up different skills. But gaming was something that always kept us connected. Eventually we thought, why not put our skills together and build something around gaming? And that’s basically how ByCherryMedia happened.

Today we’re a small team covering video editing, game capture, motion graphics, music, sound, and localisation. I’m personally responsible for most of the creative/video side of things, with the rest of the team helping across the different areas.

We’ve had the opportunity to work and build relationships with some really amazing game developers from all over the world this last year:

VaultBreakers Map Overview (now unlisted)
VaultBreakers Playtest Showcase (we’ve helped amass over 1 million views for VaultBreakers on YouTube!)
Slumber Realm Trailer
Swimpossible! Launch Trailer
Relooted Demo Trailer

And our new website is finally LIVE - bycherrymedia.com

We’ve tried to make the process as transparent as possible, particularly around pricing. One of the things we’ve added is a pricing estimator, where you can select the type of work you’re looking for and build up an estimate based on the scope and requirements of your project. So rather than having to contact us just to ask how much a trailer or social edit would be, you can get an estimate yourself before even reaching out!

We’re currently taking on a limited number of projects over the next month or so. We’re deliberately keeping the number limited because we’re still a small team, and we’d rather work with a handful of developers and give their projects the attention they deserve than take on everything that comes our way.

If you’re working on an indie game and need a trailer, gameplay video, devlog, social content, motion graphics or something more custom, please check us out!

And if you’re not looking for anything right now that’s completely fine too, we’re always happy to meet other developers and see what people are working on!

Thanks for reading if you’ve gotten this far :)

- Brad

A game about a sentient octopus escaping its evil game developer

You were created five minutes ago.
The god who made you is watching your every move.

He's called the Sky King, and he abandons every world he builds the moment something new catches his eye.

You're the first creation he's made with the power to change that. Eight arms, a grappling hook, a sword, ink.

Eight endings, genre-shifting worlds, existential dark humour.

Send Them to Hell - Official Trailer

Hello... again!

Three weeks ago I shared our reveal trailer. The response was amazing, but the trailer didn't really show what the game had become, so I went back and made one that does.

Today I've updated the Steam page and uploaded the Official Trailer.

Send Them to Hell isn't trying to be a clone or "Megabonk meets something else." It's a game I've spent countless hours building for players who enjoy games like Megabonk, Vampire Survivors, and Risk of Rain, while still having its own identity.

As a solo developer, this has been a huge journey. I couldn't have done it without the incredibly talented artists who helped create the visuals that brought the game to life.

To everyone from this community who wishlisted the game after my last post, thank you. Your support genuinely helped keep this project moving forward, and I'm excited to finally show you a trailer that represents the game the way it deserves.

In the first comment I will post some promotional artwork so you can see what we've been pouring our heart into.

If you want to Wishlist you can do so HERE

I've been solo-developing a robot soccer game for 3 years. Here's the latest trailer.

3 years ago I started working on a soccer game mixed with air hockey, played by pop culture inspired characters.

Since then I've spent countless hours polishing the gameplay, dealing with physics and multiplayer replication, building six arenas, creating more than 300 characters, adding bots, local couch multiplayer, online play, rankings, seasons, cups, and a full tutorial academy.

I'll be lauching it as Free-to-Play on August 20.

Love to hear what you think about!

Solo geliştirdiğim piksel tırmanma oyunu "Why The Ladder?" için yeni fragman hazırladım! Sizce nasıl olmuş?

Selamlar herkese!

Send Them to Hell Co-op Reveal Trailer

Hello Everyone.

Yes it's me again. But you know what. We have a good game. We have a community who is passionate and finding a hole to fill that Megabonk left. We didn't decompile code. We didn't copy and paste the art style, we made new mechanics, we listened to feedback, and we built a community who is die hard passionate for a game that isn't even released. You don't have to stop playing Megabonk, you don't have to compare us. Instead find a place where you can scratch the same itch or get your fix with friends.

I'm making a neon-lit arena shooter where shots ricochet from walls, and I just released a new trailer!

The game is a blend of Unreal Tournament, Wii Tanks and TRON, can be played in top-down view or third-person view, and it has various multiplayer modes and solo/coop campaigns. Btw I love explosions.

Animal Falling is a chaotic multiplayer party game where players build the course together between rounds by placing objects and traps, creating increasingly unpredictable challenges. You can play with up to 4 players in local split-screen or up to 6 players online.

This trailer features some of the latest environments, mechanics, and the overall feel of the game as we head toward launch.

Our Steam page just went live - GRAMPAGE is a co-op heist game where only one retiree gets to win

Today we finally revealed GRAMPAGE: LIFE AT 67!

It's a 1-4 player coopetition heist game about four broke retirees turning to crime.

You need your friends to break in, crack safes and carry the heavy loot out but everyone has their own shopping list, and only one player gets to win the retirement.

There's also one mechanic we're particularly excited about: the residents can hear your actual voice chat. So staying quiet while your friends are panicking becomes part of the heist.

Thanks for checking it out!

My game has finally made it to Steam!

After nine months of blood, sweat and pixels, today I finally pressed that precious “Publish” button with a trembling hand. Now I can continue working on the game without rushing or stressing about it. And if everything goes well, everyone will be able to play the demo in December, just in time for New Year!

Add the game to your wishlist — right now, this is the most important thing you can do for the game.

Legacy of the Depths is set in an alternate Russia of the 1920s. More precisely, in an alternate Russian Empire, where the February Revolution never happened and Nicholas II continues to rule the country with a much firmer hand. But all of that is just the setting.

You play as Alexey, a scientist and the grandson of Alexander Melnikov — the only surviving member of a mysterious expedition to the Barents Sea. After his grandfather dies in a psychiatric hospital, Alexey receives a strange letter that pulls him into a story his family tried to bury.

Travel through remote villages, abandoned places and forgotten corners of the Russian North. Talk to people who hide more than they tell, investigate strange events, search for fragments of lost coordinates and follow the trail of an expedition that was never supposed to return.

Add the game to your wishlist:

New Trailer & Itch-build

Heey folks... long time no see. After a long phase of just working on bread and butter jobs to buy - well... bread and butter. We continued working on our first game. We're still just two people, but we've managed it to come up with a fresh build for gamescom this year!

Aaaand, we decided to provide our old prototype to the public on Itch.IO. Even if we've already changed a lot in the meantime, we'd love to get additional feedback on what we've done.
