What builds are people running?

I’m plat and I want to make the push for emerald. I also watch a lot of solar content but the problem is that guy can build anything and pop off.

I basically run 3 builds:

Full crit - classic, strong, for when I’m looking to one shot; when I get ahead, or when we have mages bot. Really strong into multiple melees and my default against multiple fighters and assassins.

-er into full ap. I run this when I’m getting stomped, or when I think I have to match side lane all game. Or if there’s team synergy like a j4/camille

Hybrids. I run this when I feel like I can still win top and use my ult around the map. Typically it’s 3 crit items and 2 ap items. The LDR is pretty good for both.

The problem is I’m running hybrid more and more. gp can be inconsistent when the enemy is multiple ranged champs contesting barrels. Also these days I’m playing into way more ranged tops and it’s often easier to focus on not dying top and just nuke bot.

I also think it feels good to play because both my barrels do reasonable damage and my ult does reasonable damage.

Am I trolling myself? Is full crit still the way to go?

Rune Page for Counters

Guys i recently picked up gp, it’s been a month i’m playing him only basically. I feel like that there are some matchups that are very very unfavorite (Morde, Aurora, Malp just to name a few), how do we beat those? Going comet instead of deathfire to have more poke and hope to trade better? Other suggestions?

Is this a bug or just crazy dmg? Gp one shot Gwen with one Q ability

She had 2140 hp as she was engaging the fight. I couldn't see any damage counters in the replay.

Recently picked up Gangplank!

Hi, looking for some advice on this champs. Recently started playing him after being a fiora otp for a pretty long time getting to mid diamond.

Im mainly just looking for advice on runes/builds. Most guides on youtube mention first strike, grasp, fleet, coment. But all of those are from before DFT so not sure how current that is.

So, what runes should i be running and what first item? Is essence reaver every game or should i build trinity? Show me the way, im open for more general advice as well.

GP Toplane macro coaching/guide help

Op.gg for reference, but basically I'm a gold GP main with about 1.4 million mastery and I've been stuck in this hell for years. I'm aware that my biggest issues come from the occasional bad play, too many deaths, low CS. I'm working towards correcting these issues.

My peak has been platinum before emerald was introduced, took a break for a year or so and now I'm just stuck in elo hell. I've had Solar give me some coaching, and I know how to practice my barrels properly. I'm well aware I haven't been playing at my best lately and I need to fix that.

I feel like I understand itemizing well enough, enemy champs decently, counters and power spikes alright, and I can review and acknowledge where I screwed up in the early game. However I feel completely lost and stupid when it hits about 15 mins/first turret down. I try to use TP for drag, split push or go for Herald/grubs, however every time I win lane, I lose the game.

I've found if I group with the team/go mid, I end up competing for CS, side lanes fall apart, or I just fall off. But if I side lane, I get 1v2/3d and die non stop anyways. I'm looking for a good way to learn basic mid to late game macro to really push my early game leads into early wins. I just have no idea where to look. I hear so many different spam ad suggestions and I just want something that's actually gonna stick in my stupid ADHD ass brain after playing this game for the last decade. So any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong, what I'm missing, where to look for help with macro training, or even understanding micro better, would be greatly appreciated. I just wanna be in like diamond 4. I've had 3 games consecutively of supports just sitting top lane all game or tower diving 19 times in 10 minutes I need out lol. Please help.

TLDR:// am trash, show me where to be not trash. Preferably macro help.

How Do You Lane Against Teemo In Classic?

I just don’t know how to lane against Teemo in classic, I just feel like his poke is so much better and does so much more damage. It feels like he just wins lane for free and there’s nothing I can do.

Focus on early MR and don’t do enough damage to matter, focus on damage and not live long enough to get any use out of it.

The one time I was able to switch with our Ryze mid, but that’s it.

My only solution is to switch lanes.

I’m at my wits end, I hate this champ with a passion. It’s completely miserable to lane against, no fun at all.

Garen Matchup

I just had a Garen matchup, I ended up winning but I felt like it was way harder to dominate this MU if ahead, especially in sidelane.

It happened a few times that I engaged, hit first barrel combo and then he just Q and sprinted me down.

What's the catch? I thought maybe putting down a barrel on you rather than him would work but if you don't have 4 barrels then he runs away.
