My cousin recommended the anime to me years ago and i watched it. I was still young so didn't understand it's depth back then, but it stuck with me. I love coming back to it from time to time. I found 3 of the manga volumes in my local bookstore a while back. After the news of the manga coming out of hiatus i decided to get all of them. Money well spent. Brings me so much joy ^^.
I've been inspired by the character of Nicholas Brown since school. I was bullied for being a half-breed. My father is Korean, and my Mother is Russian. When I started reading manga and found out that Nicholas was also a half-breed, I stopped being ashamed of myself and my background, but on the contrary, I became proud of him.
In my little fan project, he gets left to rot after he refuses information to the MC, who is a hired twilight from the paulklee guild. Upon not giving it to her, she cuts her losses and leaves him to starve :3
