Help! Lost my left earbud off Bunker Hill and Miles. :c

I know most of the people on this sub won't care, some will put me down for it. I know these are $30 earbuds. But I genuinely have an emotional attachment to these earbuds. They were my first and only pair. I've had them since I was 11 (I'm now 13) and I bought them with my own money in 2024, so they're the only thing my parents wont take. I was biking down Bunker Hill passing Sayfani CoffeeHouse and Epic Pizza, and It fell out of my left ear passing by the dirt mound while I was biking at around 10 - 15 mph. I looked 2 and a half hours for it but no luck ☹️. If you can help pls do or atleast when ur passing by if u can. Thank you!!

Build More Housing Near Transit Act

If you’re unfamiliar with “urbanism,” it's how inhabitants of urban areas, such as towns and cities, interact with the built environment. Positive urbanism inherently supports public transit and mixed use zoning, with an emphasis on making it easier to do everyday errands without needing a vehicle.

As a native Dallasite, I’ve noticed that there is quite a lack of this kind of infrastructure outside of very few places, which is crazy given the population size.

This doesn't apply to just DFW, but I’m working on a campaign to get local officials involved in supporting this kind of legislation forward. One small step in that is furthering the Build More Housing Near Transit Act. August is coming up, and if you want to get more involved in local politics, this is a great starting point.

Need to rehome my cat Bast (6M) - incredibly cuddly orange tabby, amazing with kids/dogs/cats + flyer included

This is really hard for me to post, but I’m looking to find a loving new home for my cat Bast.

Bast is a 6-year-old orange tabby that I adopted from a shelter when he was about 6 months old. He was actually about to be put down, and I’ve had him ever since. He’s neutered, fully up to date on vaccines, and has been an indoor cat his entire life.

Personality-wise, Bast is honestly one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met. He’s extremely affectionate and cuddly, like “cannot not cuddle.” He basically acts like my shadow and always wants to be near people. He’s energetic, curious, vocal in a cute way, and honestly a little too smart for his own good.

He’s fantastic with kids, other cats, and dogs (he grew up around a dog). He’s also incredibly tolerant and gentle. Even when my younger brother visited as a toddler and tried to carry him around, Bast would just patiently put up with it. He has never clawed or bitten anyone.

He’s high-energy and social, but not destructive. He really thrives when he has people around him and gets a lot of companionship and attention.

The only reason I’m rehoming him is because of life circumstances. My fiancée is highly allergic to cats, we’re moving to a much smaller apartment in NYC soon, Bast does not handle travel well, and between our work schedules I can’t give him the attention he deserves anymore.

I’m located in Frisco (Stonebriar area). My priority is finding him a genuinely loving home where he’ll be cared for and spoiled the way he deserves. I’ll also be a little selective about where he goes because he means a lot to me, and I’d love to be able to check in occasionally to make sure he’s doing well.

I included a flyer with more info as well.

If you think you might be a good fit for Bast, please send me a message and I can share more details/photos or set up a meet-and-greet.

Where do you meet people here?

Hello,

late 20s, I work from home and would like to meet others.

I used to work in this area and I loved saigon mall, all the boba tea spots, and the temples. Although Temple doesn't seem like a place to socialize, but more of a peaceful place to reflect.

I want to join some clubs or groups, are there any you can recommend?

I go to cafes, restaurants, parks, and I try to be out in public generally. But everyone is with their own friends and it feels impossible to break the mold.

Concerts are really difficult to talk to people, and all the online apps seem vacant. I go to conventions but once again it is just groups of people not looking to talk to anyone else.

If you were trying to meet someone, as someone with no friends or close family, what would you do?

Lost car keys + keychain

This is a bit of a long shot to post here but yesterday 5/14/2026, I lost my keychain containing my apartment key fobs, my Toyota Camry key, and the green dog charm.

A rough timeline would be:

12:20pm - Ate at Pho Bac with some friends
2:00pm - Left Pho Bac to go to Cali Saigon Mall where I was driven by my friend
3:00pm - Left Cali Saigon mall to be dropped back off at Pho Bac

I went back to both places 3 times and they said they didn’t have it. I called Richardson PD and Garland PD but they told me no one has turned it in. I checked my friends car and it wasn’t in there :(

TLDR; Lost my keychain, either at Pho Bac or Cali Saigon; they don’t have it.

Pls dm me if found or sumn idk anymore thanks!

Buddhist temple visits?

What’s it like to visit the beautiful Buddhist temple on Garland Avenue? I have passed by it for years and only just now thought to visit. There’s another one down on Rosehill that I used to drive past almost daily.

Is it sort of “drop in”? I wouldn’t want to disturb any of their services or activities.

Free coffee table

Seen on the curb, and trash pickup is tomorrow for this neighborhood. Buttercup Circle. Zip 75040.

Sturdy solid wood, no blemishes, storage in the bottom. It's too big for my car so bring a pickup truck! Two person lift.

Cheap places with air conditioning to hang out at.

Recently moved back to Garland after almost a decade, and my new apartment has a chillwater system that my apartment manager refuses to turn on. Looking for cheap places to hang out at.

Preferably somewhere accessible on DART.

Make Garland Beautiful?

It would be nicer if they didnt spend tax dollars on giving people tickets with unmarked AI Camera cars (possibly flock?) if they're going to use mass surveillance why dont they use it to reduce the violence and human trafficking?

Planning to have a simple walk at the forest preserve for about an hour or two soon in the coming weeks. First time I even visited the location. Any tips on what should I bring and do when inside the preserve?
