Im sure this is asked a lot but can you really get into the lgbtq scene like events hangouts groups etc that isnt online if their are no events nearby?

Im trying to maybe meet guys for the first time and i dont want to use apps but theres literally no events nearby ive tried looking online lgbtq hangout apps and just nothing was wondering if anyone else knew of any other ways?

When I was like seven or eight, I watched the Hulk and got a weird feeling in my stomach. Didn't know what it was until I turned 12 and was visiting my friend, and we were playing hide and seek. Researchers at James Cook University are seeking participants for an anonymous online study examining attraction, dating preferences, and partner evaluation.

As part of the study, you will view a series of fictional dating profiles and answer questions about attraction and relationship preferences. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of how people evaluate potential romantic partners.

To participate, you must be 18 years of age or older and identify as heterosexual, gay, or lesbian. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous and voluntary.

We recognise the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. While the current study is limited to heterosexual, gay, and lesbian participants, it forms part of a broader research program that has included, and will continue to include, people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.

As this study is recruiting internationally, I'd particularly appreciate participation from people living in rural and remote communities, whose experiences are often underrepresented in dating research (especially as someone from a rural community).

This study forms part of a Doctor of Philosophy research project at James Cook University and has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee at James Cook University (HREC Approval No. 25H-0225).
