Is it just me or does the car start to vibrate around 80mph and then even more after 100+ mph?

I’m just curious. The car is a 2013 2.0t and works fine. I’ve had it since 57k miles and it’s now at 87k. I take good care of this car, just got an oil change n plan on getting new tires soon n modding it after i graduate from college.

I always put this question off because my dad’s corvette c6 lowkey does the same thing, but I did take it to a high end mechanic to change the wheel bearings out and he recommended to change the transmission fluid to fix that vibration issue, but bro wants $600 to do it himself. Tweaking + I just assumed bro wants money.

I also took it to another mechanic that I trust for a second opinion and he said the car is fine and runs perfectly after he drove it at 90mph.

Need advice with my exhaust

She’s FBO, tuned, primary cat delete, gutted O2 housing, and I still have the secondary cat and stock resonator, which goes to the Y pipe. At higher RPM while driving, it gets really “airy” sounding, if you will. I’m thinking just put a 2.5” straight-through muffler, but I’m asking for advice. If anyone has a similar set-up, I wanna steer away from lawnmower/ trumpet sounds and have something kinda unique. Any thoughts, concerns, or advice is appreciated.

2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0 for sale.

2013 genesis coupe 2.0 manual for sale. $13,000 72,000 miles. Got this car as a project with 71,000 miles in April 2025. It was bone stock but I had some parts already for it so I upgraded everything but it needs a timing job. We are expecting our third kid so I just dont have the time or energy to do it or enjoy the car.

Parts have less that 50 miles: -Brand new BTR3076 Turbo kit. -Brand new ISR o2 housing. -Brand new ISR race exhaust. -Brand new Turboxs bov. -Brand new AEM intake. -Brand new NGK spark plugs. -Brand new GFB GForce 3 boost controller. -BTR canned tune for BTR turbo kit (done April 2026).

It has lived in Texas until 2025, now in Pennsylvania. Never driven in snow and garage kept since I've owned it.

I am looking to sell this as is for now, but i am also on the fence of paying to get the timing done at the shop. Then I'm not sure if I would keep it or not.

I still have the original manifold/turbo/catalytic converter all in one piece if you want that as well.

Located near Pittsburgh PA.

Feel free to reach out for questions.

Is a 3.8 supposed to sound like this?

Went to test drive this sweet looking 3.8 today but pretty skeptical about buying it. Not sure if its supposed to sound like this and on top of that, the coolant looks yellow/amber when looking into the coolant reservoir, the oil was old and very dark, and had the infamous trunk leak. It’s got 111k miles on it and they want $10k for it. Also is the steering supposed to feel like it doesnt want to stay straight? Idk I like the look if these cars but was pretty let down by the test drive. Maybe it’s because I didn’t get to feel the full power of it with the salesman in the passenger seat rushing me to get back because the dealership was closing soon. I still have hope. Maybe I just drove a bad one. I just want some second opinions from some people who actually own one of these cars.

Modification List

This might sound stupid to ask but can someone point me to a build sheet or make a list for necessary upgrades for a BK2 2.0T Genesis to achieve 400hp or just under that to be safe? I plan on purchasing one soon (60k miles A.T) and doing basic maintenance for it once I get it. Eventually I want to modify it and I have a list of parts for cosmetic changes but when it comes to performance I want to be sure I’m getting the right parts to support the build. Thanks for any help in advance

inquiring mind. anyone know what this part’s called? or really where i can find it.

just got my genny coupe. everything‘s great there’s just this part that’s missing in the interior. The mirror was fixed Literally the morning it was shipped to me and they did not pop this piece back on. If anyone could tell me what this part is called because I wouldn’t really love to no longer see a panel missing from the door. It’s on the passenger side trying to get the dealer on the the phone has been really annoying because I work all day so it’s hard to call them to get the information on this particular part. if anyone knows what it’s called that would be great. If not, I will just keep trying to locate it myself.

thank you in advance!!!!

Should I get a Genesis?

Currently I daily a 22 Charger Scatpack and with the gas being what it is, I’m spending almost $200 a month on gas (91 is $4.89 in my area). I love my scatpack so I’m thinking about keeping it for car meets and weekend drives and getting a genesis as a daily. Would the MPG on 87 be worth the difference or should I look into other options?

My old genny is now for sale in Co Springs/Denver area. Please don’t buy it. Idk why they are selling it.

I would not buy this car. I traded it in and they have listed it for sale after saying they would send it to auction.

ZF Transmission Fluid Change

I have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L. For the automatic transmission filter and fluid change, can most any mechanic shop handle this for the ZF transmission? Or does this require the Hyundai dealer or specialized shop for this? I'll need to use a shop since I'm currently unable to work on this myself.

Reality is setting in, likely gunna have to get rid of my Genesis :((

I’m probably going to have to get rid of my 2010 3.8 Genesis coupe

I love it, it was basically my fist car, I had a veloster for less than a month and immediately moved into this. I had a kid young and I’m a single dad with my little man full time, he’s getting older and cant really fit back there anymore but If I decide to keep it I’ll just rip the passenger seat out. I have a lot of points on my license and insurance at my age with this driving record is astronomical I’m paying upwards of $500 a month. Im driving 75-100 miles total daily in my commutes and gas is astronomical which equates to me putting in $25 every day just to get to work and home

Ontop of all of that it feels like over the last 4 months it’s just fallen apart every way it can, I’ve repaired as much as I can but I think the point im giving up at is the engine leaking oil from the Orings under EVERY spark plug.

I put 50k+ miles on it in less than 2 years, but now that it’s at 185,XXX miles AND I let the interior go to hell I’m sure she’s borderline worthless

I’ve had a long hard thought about everything and I think I should be looking into something along the lines of an AWD Santa Cruz purely for practicality.

I guess as I get older I can come back to this platform.

Is 93 worth it??

With gas prices being so high ive been running 87 but my friend with a G37 said its better to run on 93 or at the least 91 for better performance and fuel efficiency and since these engines are pretty similar id imagine the effects are the same but idk. Where im at 87 is like $4 a gal so about $60 to fill up and 93 is i think $5, so idk if its worth to spend a extra $15. (I have a 2016 3.8 btw if that matters)

Auto Climate control buttons

Hi!

Is it possible to pull these two buttons out from the front without damaging the unit?

My "up" buttons from both sides got stucked for no reason at all, like it was very sudden.

Im hoping we can pull it from the front and check the flexes behind the buttons.

Has anybody done something like this before? Thanks!
