I’m currently at around 40-50 CTC and interviewing for a VP role at Goldman Sachs India.

For people who have recently joined Goldman laterally at VP level:

• What kind of hike did you get over your previous CTC?
• What is a realistic range to expect — 25%, 30%, 40%+?
• How much was the fixed vs variable component?

I got my offer from gs last week.
I worked in a company after college for 1 month since it was night shift I quit in 1 month. They created a pf without me knowing. During my background check I found out now that they have created a pf and deposited money in it.

After which I have worked in another start up for 1 year now.

Obviously I didn’t put the first company on my CV because it looks bad.
They have asked me for my UAN access and now when I checked the money and first employer is there.

Will they revoke my offer for hiding this info since it will come out from background check?

I’m getting very scared.

Hey everyone, its about to be around 3 weeks since my salary discussion round , and haven't received my offer letter , got few updates during this time from HR, 1st one was only 1 update is pending and the 2nd was this week , they said I should get soon as they were securing relocation assistance approval, then got an update the hiring recruiter and business unit were having some discussions , any idea what this could mean ?

Anyone applied for the 2027 Mumbai Operations Summer Analyst role? My application is still “Under Consideration” — has anyone heard back or seen any updates on the process?

Seeing a lot of posts about lateral offers at GS India following this exact pattern:

​Year 1: HR inflates total pay with a heavy first-year bonus target or sign-on component (~30%–50% of base).

​Year 2: Base gets a minor bump, but the variable bonus contracts to standard levels (~15%–20%), resulting in a net pay drop.

​Quick Example:

​Year 1: ₹60L Base + ₹25L Bonus = ₹85L Total

​Year 2: ₹64L Base + ₹12L Bonus = ₹76L Total (₹9L drop)

​Is this a common practice at GS?

Just joined the firm. I hold a demat with Interactive Brokers through which I invest in public equities abroad.

If I declare this, would they ask me to close the account, or I can maintain it without buying any more stocks (only ETFs/MFs).

What if I don’t declare?

I am a 3rd year student pursuing BMS in capital markets and I am currently clueless how to proceed further for these roles.

How can I become eligible for these roles I mainly want to go into trading based roles and I don’t come from a high quant based background so please help me accordingly.

I don’t have any expectations from college that they gonna provide any jobs or anything but I have 8-9 months and I really wanna utilise them by working on my skills, any sort of advice or help or opinion is appreciated!

Just got selected for a Goldman Sachs HCM internship through campus. Around 1,500 students were in the pool, so honestly, I’m pretty damn happy

The internship pays around ₹55k/month but now I’m curious about the bigger picture.

If I get the PPO:

• What does the salary look like after 2, 4, 5 and 10 years?

• How fast can you move up in HCM?

• What’s the actual WLB like?

• Is HCM a good long term career at GS?

• And would you stay for 5 to 10 years or use the GS name to jump elsewhere?

Would love some brutally honest answers from people in GS HCM or ex-GS folks!

I got my offer letter from GS this week. They sent me a first advantage link for background check. During my submission, the website la a lot and took my previous experience 3 to 4 times, and there has been some glitch. After submission I reviewed and then later realised that in my work experience, I have worked in only one company before. For the question permission to contact previous employer, it has auto selected no, whereas I never even got that option. What do I do? How serious is it?

Someone with any knowledge, please help me out.

I’ve noticed that the 2027 Summer Analyst applications are already open for several regions, but I haven’t seen an opening for India yet.

Does anyone know when applications for the India office are expected to open? Also, is the India timeline usually different from other regions?

I got my offer last week. While filling in the details, they have asked me for my form 11 PF UAN details.
I worked in a company for one month last year and did not disclose that because it looks bad on my CV that was my first job. Hence I did not give them any details about PF but turns out during them my salary they have created a UAN number for me.

If I submit this UAN number, how serious can I get?
