I’m new to golf and dumb. I have a beginner set of irons and wanted a club to get me some more distance so I bought a 2023 Titleist U505 4 iron extra stiff shaft for about $200. Now that I have more knowledge I realize this is not the club I was looking for nor does the shaft fit my swing.

It’s barely used and in great condition, 2nd Swing labeled it in 9 condition but will only give me a $90 credit. I have it on FB marketplace for $150 but I’m not getting any bites.

Is trading it in for $90 my best bet or should I be patient? The reason I ask is because I don’t think this is a very sought after club despite its pricing that would suggest otherwise.

Two weeks ago my flight from Cancun lands, I check my email, and Vice Golf has another offer waiting. I'm deep in the algorithm.

They dropped a new game improvement driving iron with a draw-biased design, and only made 200 in the rainbow colorway.

I bought it before I was even off the plane (I sit in Row 2 😂).

I'm in Miami where the wind is almost always a factor, so the idea of a driving iron off the tee really appealed to me.

Here's the funny part... I'm not an iron player.

I started golf 18 months ago at 55 and couldn't hit irons to save my life. Everything I read said woods and hybrids launch easier, so I built my bag around them. My only irons are a PW, SW, and 56°/60° Roswell Alien wedges. The rest is Driver, 3W, 5W, Heavenwood, and 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9 hybrids. The 3H is getting kicked out to make room.

I know driving irons have a reputation for being tough to hit, but my ball striking has come a long way, so I'm ready to give it a shot.

Vice said 7-10 business days, so if I counted right (factoring in the holiday), it should show up wednesday. I'm traveling, so with any luck I'll get to hit it Friday morning.

One thing I thought was cool: they'll let you actually play the club for up to 30 days, but before returning it they want you to talk with one of their fitters. I went ahead and scheduled that call for 6 a.m. Friday so I can get some setup and swing tips before I ever take it to the course.

Anyone here have experience with a game improvement driving iron? Did it earn a spot in your bag?

As a skill set reference: I have 100mph driver swing, 250 yards carry, 140mph ball speed.

Bogey golfer shooting mid to low 80's regularly.

Hits PW 135 consistently.

I’m a beginner who’s just got their first set of clubs (used set of Wilson deep reds) I’ve also seen a few bargains on FB marketplace and bought them, I wanted to ask opinions on wether I should swap out any of my clubs for these new acquisitions.

Is there a particular putter shape/style that’s easier to learn with than others?

Idk why yall hate these irons, seems like every comment thread I see everyone is negative. Now not every club is for everyone, I personally came from 620MBs to the 201t irons.
Reason of change is new home course, needed some better turf Interaction. The MBs with my swing now just isn’t what it used to be and needed slight forgiveness which these irons have given me. Not a huge fan of the lofts in the set but it works. Have played two rounds with them so far and really enjoying everything about them.

Shipping, had these delivered in about 7 business days which I thought was amazing. For $750 4-p you really can’t beat these clubs. The irons will perform just as good as any top brand and model.

My wife is getting me new irons for my birthday. I have a discount @ TaylorMade via ID me. I’m a teacher so that’s how I got the discount.

I’m looking at either the QI Max, or the P790’s.

I usually shoot mid to low 90’s, but all of my equipment is (at least) 14 years old, so I’m unsure of what my actual ability would be if I were to upgrade.

I plan to go get fit @ a golf shop, but I’m determined that TaylorMade irons are the direction I’m going, due to the discount.

I also don’t pay to have an official handicap…

Any recommendations on what I should do? Anyone have those irons and what do they think about them?

I want to buy some TS 3 irons from Maltby, but I do not think the shaft that comes with the club pak will suit me well.

I was wondering if anyone had experience ordering custom clubs, and if they will build the clubs for me still if I order heads, shafts and grips separately

I am the owner of Maverick Golf Company! I have been designing and testing my own iron design and I am excited to announce that they will be coming to market sometime in August.

The irons feature a curved face (bulge) on the 4-7i to help faster players with dispersion. Players such as Jason Day and Bryson Dechambeau have adopted irons with bulge as they believe it helps their game. So I sought out to create an affordable iron for people to test out similar technology they use.

The irons feature very minimal offset (<1 throughout the entire set), low-mid bounce throughout the set, and adjustable weighting for different length shafts. They will come in 4-pw and start out at $575 for the raw finish.

Hey all, I am thinking of upgrading my son's clubs. He currently has a 7 club set up of slazinger 9-12 yo clubs. What is a good complete set to get for him? He's getting close to 5 feet tall now. Would a -1 women's set be good? Other thoughts? On his current set he gets his driver out to about 150yds and 5 iron to about 100. Thanks!

For people who aren’t playing as well as they want; why are you coming here looking for guidance instead going to a professional golf instructor? I took a 5 year break from golf a few years ago and when I came back I could not hit a golf ball 50 yards. I sought a professional instructor for assistance. In five minutes, he help me fix my simple problem. I went from hitting my driver 150 yards to 250 yards plus. The cost was not that expensive but worth every penny.
