We run a healthcare business in India with multiple clinic locations, and we're completely stuck - this is directly impacting our business and costing us patient calls every single day.

Here's what happened:

We had phone numbers live and working on our Google Business Profiles. No changes made from our end - one day the numbers were just gone. Removed without any notification or explanation. Since then, every number we try to add gets rejected. We've tried multiple numbers across multiple listings. Nothing goes live.

The numbers we're currently trying to add are from Exotel, a licensed cloud telephony provider in India (UL VNO-Pan India licence, DID numbers). But at this point we can't even get any number through - virtual or otherwise.

What's making this impossible to resolve:

1. Google Support won't give us a reason. Every time we contact them, they say they "can't share information as it's against policy." No specific reason for the original removal, no specific reason for the rejections, no path forward given.

2. The appeal form has been stripped down. Earlier, the GBP help form had an option to upload supporting documents and storefront images to support your case. That option is now gone. We can't even submit evidence to appeal.

We are a legitimate, registered healthcare business. Patients are trying to call our clinics and can't find a number. This is a real operational problem and Google's support process has given us zero recourse.

Has anyone dealt with this?

- Had a working number suddenly removed from GBP without explanation and been unable to re-add anything?

- Successfully used Exotel / Ozonetel / virtual DID numbers on GBP in India?

- Found a way to submit supporting documents after Google removed the upload option from the form?

- Managed to get past the "can't share information" wall with support and actually get a resolution?

I'm hoping someone here has dealt with this because I'm completely stuck.

I'm helping verify the Google Business Profile for an auto repair shop that's been in business since 1965.

At first, Google required video verification. We recorded and submitted the verification video exactly as instructed, showing the exterior signage, interior, tools, equipment, business operations, and proof of access. The video was never rejected, but after waiting a few days each time, Google simply reset the process and asked us to submit another verification video. This has happened multiple times over the past several weeks.

My goal has been to get Google to allow live video verification with a support representative since the recorded video process keeps failing, but there has never been an option in the Business Profile dashboard to schedule or start a live video call.

I contacted Google support by email, but they said they couldn't assist because the business wasn't verified yet, which felt like a catch-22 since I'm contacting them because I can't get it verified.

Most recently, support asked me to provide a company-domain email address (something like info@businessname.com) and permission to share it with someone affiliated with that domain.

Here's the problem: this business has been operating since 1965 and has never had a website or a company-domain email. They've always operated through their local reputation and phone calls, so there simply isn't an .com email to provide.

At this point, I just want to get a live video verification call scheduled as soon as possible so we can finally complete this process. This has been dragging on for weeks, and we seem to keep getting pushed into another verification step instead of being given a way to resolve it.

Has anyone successfully gotten Google to enable a live video verification after being stuck in this loop? If so, what did you do?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm wondering if anyone has recently been offered another verification method instead, such as phone, email, postcard, or live video call.

Hi my wife created her business profile and me as well however I did not start sub because I was not sure if I would start to do what I wanted however she started and she is paying business account.

Now I have decided to start and she has option to add my domain under her business however it's saying that domain is already used (which is true) the issue is that I cannot access my Business Console since it directs me constantly to the subscription pay window to pay and I am not able to remove domain so we can add on other account that we are already paying.

• GBP Impressions: 54

I'm still in the early stages, so I know these numbers are small. I'm trying to grow visibility in local search and Google Maps.

• What would you prioritize first based on these metrics?

My business profile reflects that I serve my whole county with online services. There are four towns listed, but i work out of my office, which is at my home. I submitted a video that started with the street sign of my cross streets. Today my video was rejected saying location is different from business profile. Is it just a matter of zooming in on my home address number better (i think its in the video but i zoomed past it) or is there a bigger problem?

Have you noticed that Google is generating AI-powered business summaries directly in search and now it’s bringing back GBP Messaging with an AI chatbot?

It feels like Google is slowly building an experience where customers can discover a business, learn about it, ask questions, and contact it without ever leaving Google or visiting a website.

If that’s where this is headed, where does that leave business owners and their local search strategy?

I've had a service-area GBP for about a year now and just moved into an office, where I'll have customers come in but will also maintain the service area with pickups and deliveries.

I tried to add my address to my GBP and the verification process is to take a video showing signage etc. However, I'm just in an office building and I have no signage. The only sign is the suite number on my office door.

I tried to get help from Google but as seems to be the case every time now, I just got a stock email back a that they have no idea what my issue is and just "refer to the help center.

Does anyone know how I can either get verified without the signage or revert to a service-area GBP so I can respond to review/post again?

I am trying switch my Picture Framing Shop business to an appointment only system but google business profile is just making it impossible and google's support is absolutely useless.

I setup reserve with google through setmore and after weeks the booking button is still not showing up. When trying to figure out why I keep getting a generic answer about only certain categories being allowed for reserve with google. But it says that Professional Services is one of the categories and surely Picture Framing falls under that?

I am also trying to switch my business hours to 'open with no main hours' as per googles own guidelines for an appointment business but it keeps getting denied and I dont understand why. Having opening hours on there leads to people still turning up without an appointment which is not acceptable.

When I try to contact google support I just get sent back a generic reply and its says the email doesnt accept replies. It will just say for more help go to the help center which just leads me round in circles and is completely unhelpful. It seems impossible to talk to a human. I can't believe something that has such a big effect on a business is so restrictive and has such terrible support.

I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction because I've been fighting this since November 2025.

I operate a legitimate service-area IT consulting business in San Diego County. I have no public address listed, my business name matches my DBA exactly, and my phone number and website match across my business records and website.

My problem started when I accidentally created my original Google Business Profile under the wrong Google account. Not realizing how sensitive GBP account history can be, I deleted that profile and created a new one under the correct email address.

That profile was later suspended. I went through the appeals process, submitted the requested documentation, and my appeal was denied.

Frustrated and not knowing what else to do, I deleted that profile as well and attempted to create another one. That profile was also suspended, this time for "misleading or deceptive content."

Looking back, I suspect the multiple deletions and recreations may have triggered Google's fraud detection systems, even though my business is legitimate.

Today I revisited the issue after putting it on the back burner for several months. I was able to get through the Google Business Profile contact form and successfully open a support case. I'm currently waiting for a response from Google support.

Has anyone successfully recovered from a situation like this? Is there anything specific I should be doing while waiting for support to respond?

i was in an entreprenuership class and we had to create a business (FOR THE CLASS NOT FOR REAL LIFE) put it on google maps/google, create an email and all that bs. this was beginning of last year. i cannot. get. it off of google. i don’t remember what the email was, and if i try to like ‘claim the business’ but i have to verify that it’s mine, which is like ???? it’s not real???? why my teacher had us doing this i don’t know, but i need help bc people keep showing up to my house wanting cake and i dont have it because this is not an actual business and i literally cannot for the life of me figure this out. genuinely what is my life. i wish i did have cake for these ppl but bro my house is not a cake shop. does anyone have any ideas? i’m guessing no one else has gone through this but if anyone knows anything at all about these things please help me

Hi there, I submitted a support case to get my business verified because i kept failing video review over and over again, the case number is here:

This was started june 9th and hasn’t been resolved yet, its been well over 48 hours.

Checking support.google shows that the case had an update 3 days ago, but i have no way of viewing the update! I cant “click” into the case and i received no email.

So i opened another case just to get information about the update itself

I’m hoping to get some advice from people who have dealt with something similar.

I run an online service-area business. I originally set up my Google Business Profile while I was based in Germany, where I built up 14 genuine five-star reviews over several years.

I’ve now permanently relocated to Victoria, BC, Canada. My business itself hasn’t changed—same name, same services, same website, same owner—I’ve simply moved countries.

The problem is that my GBP is still based in Germany. My service area has been updated, but my actual business address is still in Germany because I’ve read that trying to change the address to another country can trigger a suspension.

I’d really like to start appearing in local search results here in Victoria, as it’s a very strong market for my work. At the same time, losing those 14 reviews would honestly be heartbreaking. They’re detailed, genuine reviews that took years to build.

From everything I’ve read so far, it seems my options are:

• Attempt to update the existing GBP to my Canadian address and risk suspension.
• Create a brand-new Canadian GBP and start over with zero reviews.
• Keep the German profile as it is and accept that I won’t rank locally in Canada.

Has anyone actually dealt with an international move like this?

Is there any legitimate way to preserve the reviews, or is starting from scratch really the only option?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with first-hand experience or who has helped clients through this situation!

Recently, I received a three star review with no text from a man. He never purchase anything from our store, and I checked his history reviews, at the same time, he rated 3 stars to several others stores and 5 stars to gas station or supermarket. I reported to Google, but Google said it didn’t violate any policy. God help me!!! We tried so hard to get positive reviews, and we are welcome the reviews with suggestions so that we can improve. But the spam like reviews really ruin our efforts. I need help from each boss, what can I do?

So I run a small agency that’s relatively new with a handful of clients. I am a manager on all their Google Business Profiles. I recently requested API access to help streamline the work and build some internal tooling around it. But it’s been 2+ weeks and I have not gotten a response back yet. In this typical?

I’ve heard rejection rates on the API are high, so what are my realistic chances here? I feel like I’m the typical use case they approve - agency with manager access across multiple profiles.

My GBP has been down for a couple weeks now. I keep recording verification videos, painstakingly showing the street, surrounding businesses, the building number, my suite number, and the sign on the front door in addition to accessing the inside, the work van, showcasing tools, etc. I keeps getting rejected on the basis that of "Business name not shown on storefront." Except it is, and I'm showing it in the video, repeatedly. Last video I spent nearly a full minute on the front door sign. I have no idea what the hell they're looking for. It just keeps saying to record a new video and that's the only thing it's being rejected for, even though there's a sign and I'm recording it. What am I supposed to do? I am losing a lot of business.

Hi folks, why do some businesses don't show up when search with keywords. The business profile is active, verified, and has more than 50 reviews. When I search for the business using their name, they show up. So what might be the reason?
