its driving me insane, its not my wifi or my computer. this has happened before, it straight out wont load. i can use gmail and google fine

Im typing into a table that i copy pasted from an activity file given to us, and everytime i hit the spacebar an underscore replaces the space. Ive searched around and tried clear formatting, repasting onto a new unformatted table, and theres no extensions on my device because its mobile so it couldnt be that

Hello! I’ve used Google Docs to create custom tracker pages for my classic happy planner. I will be printing on an 8.5”x11” paper and cutting it down to 7”x9.25”. Each tracker template has two pages that I would like to print front and back. I’m not sure how I should set up the second page to properly fit, so that when I cut the paper down to size I don’t lose anything. My first page is setup as follows Top: 0.3, Bottom: 0.3, Left: 1, Right: 0.3. Thanks in advance for any help on this!

I'm sorry if this is a question asked a lot, but I haven't been able to find any answers. Where is Times New Roman? It doesn't appear in the fonts menu, and it's super annoying because I prefer using it AND my school/teachers for some reason still require times new roman despite the fact it's no longer the digital standard for a decent bit now (Even though Imo TNR is way better.) Any help on how to find it and/or why it was even removed in the first place.

For work I use Google Docs, I typed stuff out for work but I can’t copy and paste it all.

This is what I saw:
A. Nice house.
B. Nice size yard.
C. Not far from a lake.

If i type something like this in docs, and I go to copy it. It doesn’t copy the A,B,C. It will copy the sentences next to it but not ABC. How do I fix this?

So I've a university project whereby I've to compile data and write an online dissertation on a topic. I know how to add a "Table of content" since it's something I did learn in the past. What actually puzzles me is if it is possible to make a table of content detect titles, subtitles and others from multiple tabs in the same file. My idea was to make it on a separate tab from my chapters.

I'm formatting a somewhat experimental short fiction piece. Right-justified text is from one character's perspective, and left-justified text is from another character's perspective. I'd like it to be visually clear which side is which -- right now the text runs almost all the way to the opposite margin on both sides, so it's hard to distinguish left-justified and right-justified paragraphs. Is there a way to adjust this? Or should I just press return a bunch of times to cut the lines shorter?

I realize I can't add a screenshot so, I'll just explain.

I had a burst of motivation to begin to write one of my stories, especially for a project I've been promoting recently. So, I opened up Google docs and realized there was this blue dot above where I was writing. I clicked on it and it said "Ask Edge to help me write" and I realized this was an AI assistant.

It sucks. I'm heavily against AI. How do I turn this off. I don't want it.

Edit 2: Thank you for those who helped. I'm struggling because there is not an "off" feature for Copilot but I can restrict it strictly enough that I don't think it'll be able to interfere. I really REALLY hate this. I want ONE company to not use generative ai/copilot for their websites. I wish there were better ways than this.

Does anyone know how to fix Google Docs becoming absolutely miniscule? Like only 20 pixels high. I can't see the toolbar and most of the screen is white, the whole document interface is crammed into the top left corner of the screen.

Every support thread I can find just suggests ctrl+0 to reset the browser zoom to 100%, which is not the issue here – whether I'm at 50% or 500% zoom, the document doesn't get any bigger. Google Sheets was the same and restarting Chrome fixed that, but no luck with Docs.

When I'm writing, I must press "enter" twice so I can get a new paragraph. This only happens in Google docs, and when I paste what I've written somewhere else, I have to go deleting the extra spacing between paragraphs

i want to download the ao3 font (which i have found is lucida grande) but i have no idea how. I've been able to find links and websites to download it but apparently none of them are supported? i'm very confused -- please help 🥲🙏

Context: I hired someone to do some documenting of medical care things for me and they organized it via "tabs" which I never use as I think it's absurdly stupid you cannot just scroll between them.

Question: Is there a simple way to deconstruct all the tab organization/division or am I stuck copy/pasting everything out of their individual tabs?

So I'm about 81,000 words into the second draft of my novel, a crime thriller, and my formatting seemed to have changed on me all of a sudden.

When I went to center the title of this last chapter I'm working on, I clicked TAB a few times to try and center said title. Ever since then, there seems to be extra space at the end of my pages, as if the bottom margin is off.

Everything looks normal in the settings, but there is nothing I can do to rectify this. When I try to bring the first sentence of the following page back up to the page with the extra space at the end, it will try and become part of the last paragraph. Any ideas? Thanks!

I've also check other people I know are hitting the same issue.

Working on Firefox 148.0.2 (64-bit) (Ubuntu Linux).

English isn't my native language, so apologies for wrong terminology

For some reason all of my docs started to look like first doc from photo 1: no sheet separation, strange sheet sizing (while document is in A4), random gaps in texts etc. If exported in PDF, files look like I "forgot" to use all of A4 sheet but overall look more or less normal (see second picture).

I honestly can't think of anything I could do to cause it, at least at that levels? I changed the indention from 2 to 1 ig, deleted a few headers and footers but generally no overly complicated stuff

Idk what to do. I'm a newbie to GD, non of my close people can help me and I *need* Google docs for studying. Maybe someone can help me out?

P.S. Forgot to add: I tried to fix it by myself: changed the page parameters, added/deleted page breaks, changed page margins etc

I cannot figure out what is wrong with my voice typing feature for my Google account. I use the voice typing feature all the time and understand that if I say the word “period” or “comma” It adds the symbol. However, all of a sudden it stopped doing that. Now it just inserts the word or the word in brackets. I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix this problem with no luck. Even my tech department can’t figure this out. It seems to only be effecting me and my account.

Anyone out there experience something similar or have a possible solution? It seemed to started after I added some extensions, but I deleted those and there was no change.
