Google Wallet not needing my pin to use cards anymore?

For the last few week Google Wallet hasn't been making me use my pin, which at first was cool because I didn't have to fumble with it when I was paying at gas stations, but then I realized if someone had my unlocked phone they would be able to use my cards...

It started out just not resetting when I didn't fully close the app (even hours later), and now it's not resetting at all. Anyone had a similar issue and knows how to fix it?

Thank you!

Card that isn't mine in wallet

An AMEX card that isn't mine popped up in my wallet today. I have not added it. It does not appear on any of my credit reports (first thing I checked in case of fraud). Google Pay will not show me any information about this card, I guess none was populated when it was added. How could this have happened, and what should I do about it?

Amazon - Default payment method

Not sure if this post is allowed so please remove if not. Has anyone noticed this "default" payment method thing on amazon? I swear it didn't used to have that. You could just put in multiple methods and choose which card to be used. The others would be saved and NOT charged unless you go set that up. I have an amazon prime subscription that was hooked up to my old debit card I recently cancelled. Instead of any kind of notice that my card declined, amazon used a credit card that I've only used once for one amazon order to start charging my membership to. WTF why can they do without any kind of notice or consent from the me? I also noticed my subscriptions on google pay acting funny. I set up my google pay (again my old debit card) and somehow all my subscriptions are being charged to my new debit card number without me even putting in that card information? Am I crazy? I'm sorry but when I get a new debit card I like to use that as a clean slate to renew my subscriptions one by one and make sure I know all of what I'm paying for. But companies are now able to just grab that info themselves now without any consent? I also hate that all of these subscriptions are now through google pay so it ensures the subscription is renewed and paid, im over it

Comprised account

I have a Citi card as my only payment source I use on Google pay. Last month I had a lot of random transactions fraudulently made that Citi credit card. I was contacted by Citibank about this and I told them I don't recognize them so no problem there they shipped me another card I cut up that one and then added the new Citi card. Now I had another suspicious transaction they declined it turns out they're using Google pay and when they looked at Citibank they showed I had two Google pay accounts which on their end they blocked the card on both of them canceled the card obviously.

I've been trying and looking around but I can't see any way to specifically protect Google pay from somebody else logging into it and using it like they're me. If I could set up a two-step verification for every transaction that'd be fine anything would be better than repeatedly having somebody steal whatever card is on my Google pay account

Address has unsupported characters.

These MF's have been concentrating so hard on AI that they're neglecting their other SH** and there's FU***** BUGS EVERYWHERE. WTF DOES THIS EVEN MEAN, I CHECKED GOOGLE PAY ADDRESS AND THERE IS NOTHING UNORDINARY ABOUT WHAT I PUT. IT WAS WORKING FINE NOW WHAT IS WRONG.

SO F******* TIRED OF THESE TECH COMPANIES

Can I use Starling Bank with Google Pay in India? If so, how does it work for small vendors?

Hi everyone,
I’m travelling to India soon and I have a Starling Bank account (UK). I’ve added my card to Google Wallet/Google Pay in the UK already.
I wanted to ask:
Can I use Starling Bank via Google Pay in India for payments?
Will it work at small vendors that use UPI QR codes?
Or is it only useful for bigger shops with card machines?
What’s the best way for a UK traveller to pay at small local places?
I’ve heard mixed things about UPI vs contactless card payments, so I’m a bit confused about what actually works on the ground.
Any advice or real experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks!
