So "No contact" deliveries don't exist anymore?

I'm not sure when this was rolled out but for the last few weeks I've had the delivery driver calling me and requesting a code. What is the point of this? I asked for no contact. It appears that just dropping the delivery at my door and leaving isn't an option anymore.

Order cancelled due to "map not working"

Huh? That's a new one. Driver was on the way, almost here, order was suddenly cancelled and refunded.

"Hello Grubhub here. We are very sorry to inform that your order was cancelled.

We've been told that the courier unable to navigate your delivery address. Map is not working on her end.

Rest assured that you will be refunded within 3 to 5 business days but still depending on your bank's policy.

You will get $5 discount on your next purchase valid for 30 days."

I mean I'll take the $5 but how does a map suddenly stop working?

Bloody hell grubhub, how about hire drivers that actually WANT to do the fucking job.

A bit of background..

Placed an order, 15 bucks, tiped 10% 1.50 because its literally down the street, and no car and a busted knee might as well be across town for me. Waited an hour driver gets assigned, then get told the order is delayed for anoyher 40 mins.

I have been the map... driver sitting in a parking lot across the street from the restaurant. Doing fuck knows what...

Complain, get a refund...

Next day place another order, just some drinks/snacks..

12 bucks tip 10%... again an hr later get delayed another 30, then get notice that the driver canceled the order.

My question is thus... if you dont want to do the job. Why did you even sign up? Oh you need to tip more... the fuck I do. Tipping is NOT required, and the amount has aleays been based on the quality of service. NOT the whims of an entitled asshat, because - gas prices.

I'm fine paying for the service... WHEN IT IS ACTUALLY GOOD SERVUCE!

I didn’t think any delivery service could be worse than Door Dash, but Grub Hub proved me wrong.

I live in a very populated area, so driver availability across all these apps isn’t an issue. I also tip 30-40% every time I place an order, so it isn’t an issue with being a douchebag zero tipper.

I used Door Dash for several years, but the terrible service and increased fees, along with a ton of Dashers refusing deliveries that don’t pay absurd tips pushed me away.

I decided a couple of weeks ago to give Grub Hub a try. I signed up for plus membership too. My first order, no issues and it was ridiculously fast. After that, 8 consecutive orders I had to cancel due to the order never being picked up, or the location not confirming the order. It wasn’t me being impatient either, I waited 1-1.5 hours beyond the end of the delivery window each time.

Today I placed an order that was actually picked up and delivered pretty quick, so I was happy. Then I opened my food. One item missing, and the pie expired two days ago. I contacted support, and talked to an actual person. They told me they were unable to do anything because I had too many refunds on my account.

Excuse me? 100% of those refunds were a result of cancellations because the orders were either never confirmed or picked up. I don’t understand how that’s relevant, or why a cancellation works against you. What the actual fuck?

I cancelled my membership and have no reason to ever give them another chance. I hope all these shitty services put themselves out of business. They get worse by the minute.

New Grubhub Driver Account SingUp in DFW Stuck on the waitlist for months does anyone know an "Instant Hire" zip code right now?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been stuck on the Grubhub waitlist in my home market (DFW) for a long time. I know the trick about changing your zip code to a high-demand area to get past the "We'll text you" screen, but I can't seem to find a location that is actually open for immediate onboarding right now.
Does anyone know of a specific city or zip code (anywhere in the US) that is currently bypassing the waitlist and going straight to the background check/onboarding?
I’m looking to get activated ASAP and then I'll handle the market transfer later once I have some deliveries under my belt. Any leads on "Priority Expansion" zones or under-served markets would be a huge help!
Thanks in advance!

Delays over an hour, incompetent support. Deleted account immediately.

Posting this as a cautionary tale... First time placing an order with Grubhub - not "new account, old details", literally, first order.

Delivery time kept getting pushed back, started chatting with the AI support, then a perhaps-human agent, then a perhaps-human supervisor. Neither of which appeared to have particularly good grasp on either the context of the situation.

Tried to hold them to their delivery time guarantee, as the order met all conditions listed. Not only did they not honor it, but they also refused to say why. It was pretty cut and dry, I'd been waiting over an hour past the first delivery time, and they'd kept moving it upwards.

Cancelled the order, and deleted my account immediately. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Any way to get useful support?

I tried chat support and email support but the people responding were clearly not trying to even understand my problem let alone resolve it. (My issue is that I bought Grubhub gift cards in order to purchase groceries, but it turns out there is no way to apply them to groceries despite nothing disallowing it in the T&C.). Is there some channel where they have agency to actually address problems? 10 years ago I could tweet @ them but that doesn't seem to work at most places anymore.
