Hi everyone. I’m here to explain a situation that’s really frustrating me. I play on Xbox One. A few weeks ago, I was playing Story Mode; I completed the "Free Fall" mission just like any other, with nothing out of the ordinary. But right after finishing, when the game automatically switched to Franklin, I got into a car and headed toward another mission. Just two streets later, the game freeze: the screen locked up, though the background audio kept playing while the car and everything else remained motionless. After that, I tried deleting the save files specific to my Gamertag as well as the data files from the console itself. I don't know... I haven't touched Story Mode since then and currently only play online. Even so, I can drive around the map for half an hour or an hour without issues, but the moment I start a mission I actually want to play—like "The Prison Break" or "The Bogdan Problem"—the game freezes in exactly the same way: everything locks up, including my car, while the background audio continues. It drives me crazy because I can complete the Casino Heist without a single freeze, and then the game crashes during a random mission later on. I don't get it. Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone have a solution that doesn't involve wiping everything? I mean, seriously: before that freeze in Story Mode, I had absolutely no issues with GTA Online; it never freeze on me. I don't understand what's going on, and this happens *only* with GTA; it doesn't happen with any other game.
